No unpleasant fishy odor. When first taking the cover off the bottle and sticking my nose in the bottle, I did not get a hint of a fishy odor. As far as size, they are very small compared to others which is a benefit to swallow, but one wonders if they are really the 2000 mg claimed as all other fish oil capsules seem to be 5x as large. So if they can get that dosage in such a small capsule, that is great. The capsules only fill about 1/5 the small bottle they come in (see picture)
The claimed dosage is 2000 mg.
The price seems to be in about the bottom 1/3 for compatible 2000 mg dose capsules.

I really like this NeoVitin Omega 3 Fish Oil Supplement. The size of the softgels are easy to take — especially for anyone who does not like to swallow pills. The citrus scent is a nice addition. I do tend to have “fishy burps” which give me an upset stomach, and I did not experience that with this formula. My joints ache if I don’t take a good, quality fish oil supplement, and with this brand, I felt pain free. This is a definite repurchase for me!

I have taken fish oil for over 15 years, and after I started taking it, I noticed the cognitive benefits quickly. I take it every day. It has cognitive and circulatory benefits and is worth taking as a general health maintenance supplement.

This is a higher-potency fish oil supplement, although there are stronger options available.

The story behind the company is kind of interesting. The website contains limited information, but looking up the founder, he survived pancreatic cancer (generally fatal with little chance of survival), and ended up living 13 years longer than he was supposed to. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2015, but he started this company to produce supplements that may have helped him.

I took off a star because I can’t seem to find anything about third-party testing, or testing related to heavy metals or contaminants.

I’ve been using fish or krill oil supplements (or a combination of the two) for years, and my doctor has endorsed their use. I do feel like they help with a variety of things, including circulatory and heart health, cholesterol levels, and cognitive ability, and this seems to be an excellent quality addition to the genre. These are somewhat large capsules and could be difficult to swallow if you struggle with that sort of thing but being gel caps they seem to go down pretty slick.

The seller claims a citrus flavor – maybe if you suck on them they do have that, but I just swallow them and haven’t really noticed any flavor, fish or citrus. I only use one per day since they are a fairly potent dosage, rather than the recommended two, and I’m a little concerned that two might be tougher on the tummy or cause fish burps. I’ve tolerated one just fine so far, so I may experiment.

The price seems reasonable – not a bargain, necessarily, but in line with similar products. Oh, and I also appreciate that they are made in the USA; I have more confidence in domestically made products and buy them when I can.

I’ve been taking fish oil supplements for years along with my cholesterol medicine. This one has 2000 mg (1200 mg per serving). The ingredients list 800mg EPA and 400mg DHA. They are average sized for fish oil supplements and are easy to swallow. A bottle contains 60 softgel tablets. The directions recommend taking two per day. I take one in the morning and one before bed.

In simple terms, the pills don’t have a taste, there’s no smell, and they’re easy to swallow but I burp up a fish taste which is what I was worried about. I’m taking it for all the benefits of this supplement although I don’t like burping up a fishy taste.

I started taking these on Oct. 18, 2022, and I’m updating my review on Nov 7, 2022, because these fish oil supplements actually work! I wasn’t even thinking about these when today I told my husband that I feel like my thought process is better and that I’m able to process information better. It’s like my brain is sending signals and processing them the way that it should without the cloudiness that I often get. A lot of times I try to find the right words or stutter over them but I haven’t felt that way lately. I have more clarity, I’m able to focus better, I’ve been having better conversations, and I seem to function better. I’m the type of person to get easily distracted and jump from one thing to the next but I just haven’t felt like that lately. Omega-3 is important for our brain and cognitive function, so this would explain everything that I’m experiencing by taking this supplement.

I would definitely order these again, fish burps and all because it’s the first time that I’ve actually seen a significant benefit from taking a supplement like this. I’m impressed, try them and see what it does for you!

These softgel capsules provide a lot of Omega-3 fatty acids. Each capsule has about twice the amount of Omega-3 as the ones I buy at Costco. The capsules are the large size typical of fish oil supplements, but easy to swallow. I subtract a star from my rating because of the lack of information about the source of the oil (is it wild-caught fish?) and whether or not it’s been tested for the presence of heavy metals.

This fish oil softgel measures 1 inch in length – which, in my experience, is typical for a fish oil softgel. I am not a fan of fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, herring, sardines, tuna, etc – so I turn to supplements to help get my Omega-3s. Two of these softgels contain 2,000 mg, with Omega-3 fatty acids of 800 mg EPA and 400 mg DHA – which is a high potency. “Most health organizations agree that 250-500 mg of combined EPA and DHA is enough for adults to maintain their overall health”, so I only take one of these softgels per day, rather than the two mentioned in the dosage. Even though they are large capsules, they are easy to swallow due to their softgel composition. The ad refers to a “citrus flavor” but I didn’t experience that. I did not notice any fishy after taste, nor any fish burps later on. I am pleased that this is manufactured in the US.
