So, many people may not know what this is and what it is meant to do. Basically, this is an oil that you put on after you shave (I mix it with lotion) and over time, it is supposed to help with hair not growing so fast. This is not instant, and your hair will still grow, but it might reduce the need to shave as much. Now, so far, I cannot attest to that, I haven’t been using it for a long time. But, I can attest to this smelling great. It smells like a fresh, somewhat pine-ish, type cologne, but it’s not overpowering when it is on your skin. I can also attest to this being great for your skin. It absorbs fast, doesn’t leave a sticky residue, and adds a lot of moisture. This has aloe and sweet almond oil – both of which are great for hydration and softness. These also come in thick amber jars with a childproof cap, as well as another dropper cap that you can put on. Overall, I am very impressed by this just for how nice it feels and for skin health. I would recommend this and think it is a good value. A little goes a long way so it will last you a while. Good, quality ingredients too.

I ordered this Cyperus Rotundus Oil for Hair Removal to use on the sides of my face.
The two bottles arrived safely. They were both well sealed. The bottles are made of glass, as well as the droppers, which were in the boxes next to the bottles.
The contents are clear and colorless. The odor of the liquid is vaguely reminiscent of eucalyptus, but sweeter. It is easy to spread on clean skin, and readily is absorbed when rubbed in a circular motion.
Although I have not been using the product for long, at the very least it is definitely moisturizing my skin. I decided to apply it on one side of my face, while the other side will be my control (kind of like my own makeshift scientific experiment). My plan is to report the outcome in a month or so.

I wasn’t privy to cyperus oil prior to seeing it on here and had realistic expectations since I know many plant and fruit oils take time to work. Once I realized the amount of deception that exists in the “natural” and “organic” online seller’s market, I also became a staunch label reader. Not surprisingly, this isn’t pure cyperus oil and “root extract” is listed as the last ingredient. There’s no information on the source of this “oil” and it’s too watery be labeled as such. Therefore, I find it highly unlikely this will have any major effect at keeping unwanted hair at bay.

This is a pretty interesting product. It’s a clear oil based liquid that’s used to inhibit hair growth from growing back after removal. I’ve only used this once, but only on a small area of my leg. I didn’t have a skin reaction to the oil, so I put it on my legs. It does absorb quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling behind, not sure if it’s working, but it’s worth a try. This product doesn’t have a smell and is easy to store. Each bottle has a 3 year shelf life. I would probably buy this item again, it’s worth the money spent.

When you buy something with the expectation that the product would meet your needs but then find out that not only does this product Not meet your needs but also is not even close— very disappointed in this product.
I have read about cyperus oil and its benefits in reducing hair growth so I wasn’t skeptical but at the same time I did try to find the ingredient list before the purchase.
Now that it has arrived and I clearly see that it’s the last ingradient in the list that too, is merely an extract. Totally defeats the purpose, not gonna use it on my skin. Disappointed!

Read some promising info on cyperus rotundus oil for inhibiting hair growth, with some studies showing comparable results to certain types of laser hair removal. Very exciting!
However: it sounds like those studies involved pure cyperus rotundus oil. This is definitely not that. This feels more like an essence when applied, and “cyperus rotundus root extract” is the last ingredient listed on the bottle after two other oils, aloe extract, and acetyl tripeptide-1. It does not indicate what concentration of CR root extract is in the product, but the last-place ingredient listing doesn’t suggest a lot. I also notice that the font, pattern design, and copy on this product’s label is extremely similar to the Nefertari brand 100% pure cyperus rontundus oil, which is notably more expensive than this product. It’s very clearly an intentional resemblance, which feels misleading.
I’m going to keep using this since I have it–it hasn’t caused any irritation yet that I can tell, and it may not if it’s mostly aloe and sweet almond oil–but seems like this may not be the product it’s packaged itself to look like.

I was worried that I would not like the smell of this product, but I enjoy it quite a bit. The concentration of Cyperus Rotundus in this product is not listed, but it is the last ingredient in the list so it may not be much. There has only been one small study on the effectiveness of the oil on hair removal from 2014 (n=65). From what I can find, the concentration used in the study is not listed (I did not access the full journal article), but I assume it was more concentrated than this product. I do not have high hopes that this will have an affect on my unwanted hair, but we will see. It is quite pleasant and moisturizing though. It’s not super expensive, so I thought it was worth trying.
