The CARAWAY pure, organic Tamanu Oil arrived securely packaged in a box and has a cap to cover the bottle’s pump. The dark colored bottle is very good quality and having a pump is most convenient. As a bonus, the vendor included two Tamanu seeds in a plastic bag. This is an extremely nice gesture and allowed me to see and smell the seeds and confirm that the Tamanu Oil does indeed smell exactly like the seeds. I am extremely happy with this purchase. This oil is organic tamanu oil and it’s thick in consistency and color is true. Decent pump that pumps a decent amount into hands. Easy to apply on face and cleared my skin up in a few days. Make sure you don’t get any in eyes or around eyes because it does burn and irritate. Great for sensitive skins and psoriasis or dry skin. This stuff works and is amazing and I wish it came in a larger bottle. It works great on hair and made my hair soft and detangles hair really well. This oil also has a slight smell that’s kinda reminds me of some toasted nuts if that make sense. I’m high impressed with this oil and is my first time using it. If you have problematic skin and skin disorders then this stuff is definitely for you and should try it out. I highly recommend.

I liked this oil but didn’t use it long enough due to having white linens. This oil has a dark orange-y color to it. Because it’s an oil, it sits on top of the skin and doesn’t fully absorb. Unfortunately, an oil is too heavy for me to wear during the day so this product didn’t work for me.

This CARAWAY Tamanu Oil is a thick, slightly green looking liquid and smells freshly pressed. I have mature, combination skin that is prone to redness because of a hereditary condition. After using this oil as the last step in my nightly routine, my skin looks more moisturized and less irritated in the morning. It seems to be quite soothing to my skin. The bottle is made from dark glass, which should offer protection from the light, and has a pump for easy dispensing.

MY SKIN:
In my 40s and on tretinoin, which makes my skin a bit more dry than usual. Have some sun spots and freckles.
PACKAGING:
The bottle comes in a simple generic cardboard box that you toss when you take the bottle out, and both the box itself and the bottle had the manufacturing date. It was manufactured 2 months ago, so pretty fresh in my opinion. The bottle had some issues, when I tried to pump some oil out nothing ever came out. I had to pull the mechanism out of the bottle to see what was blocking the plastic tube, and turns out the tube was too long for the bottle and it was just shoved inside anyways bending it completely which prevented the oil from coming up. I had to get all messy and trim the tube so it actually fits the bottle, which finally worked. I don’t know if it’s the damaged tube or just the incorrect packaging for this particular consistency, but the oil still comes out with difficulty and very slowly.
PRODUCT ITSELF:
The oil is a bit on a thicker side, greenish color, and has a deep scent of some plants and nuts. Not an unpleasant one, to me personally t least it’s not. The scent doesn’t disappear and you can still smell it on your face. The oil is very moisturizing and takes a long time to absorb and just sort of sits on your skin. I made a mistake of using it in the morning, and regretted it. I think it’ll be best to use at night.
Actually, my mom tried it and took it home with her. She swears by it now, and says her skin never felt better.
OVERALL IMPRESSION:
Very interesting and unusual oil, and if you don’t mind a nutty smell that is on a stronger side, then you’ll be fine with it.

i love that it comes in a pump. the oil is really high quality and very thick like how it should be. this is great for people who have a weakened skin barrier. i would definitely recommend this especially mixing it with another oil
