I wanted to try Sea Buckthorn Oil for my hair and skin. I am post-menopausal and have hair that is below my waist and want to maintain that for as long as I can. And, of course, I also have the same concerns with my skin and am hopeful that this solution will give me good results. The capsules are not overly large and are easy to swallow; there is a slight odor but I don’t notice any aftertaste or issues after taking.
This brand offers non-GMO, Tibetan sourced ingredients and uses an extraction method that helps to maximize the retention of the nutrients. The full benefits of using Sea Buckthorn oil are many including being one of the only plant sources that provides all four omega fatty acids. I bought this Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil to be used topically to heal burned skin faster. I will not swallow this supplement because it may slow blood clotting. This may increase the risk of bleeding. You have been warned.
This “ULTHMOK Premium Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil,100% Seed Oil,100 Softgels & 100×500mg,Non-GMO,Gluten Free.” primary ingredient is sourced in China and the supplements were also made in China. There is no certification on the purity of the ingredients and the product has no GMP certification either.
The expiration date is not printed on the label but stamped. The bottle has no plastic wrap-around protection at the cap but there is a security seal foil at the mouth of the bottle.
If your usage is similar to mine then I can recommend you buy this product otherwise consult your doctor because of its slowing blood clotting property. I wish the manufacturer printed a warning sign regarding this.

I learned that Sea Buckhorn seed oil is good for the skin, so lately, I have been piercing the capsules with a pin and applying the oil topically to my face. I am finding that the oil moisturizes and softens my skin and is helping to improve the texture. It is also helping with fading my old acne scars and darks spots. Just one capsule is enough. I also take Sea Buckhorn internally for added health benefits.

I wanted to try this oil externally on my skin after researching its many benefits, however upon first use it made my face very red (flushed) and I sort of panicked and washed it off right away. I may try again, but I may also have to get rid of it. I’m glad I tried it externally before ingesting it. I suggest doing a spot test on your skin if you plan to use it for that.

This was sealed well except for the shrink wrap on the outside of the box. But that’s shouldn’t matter since the important stuff was sealed well.
It is from China. That’s where a lot of sea buckthorn is harvested. It’s a high quality supplement. No b.s.
I like how hydrated I feel when I take these. It’s like a hydration booster or something. It’s a unique and beneficial supplement. I’m used to using sea buckthorn as an oil for sunburned skin I didn’t know it was available as a supplement.
Do your research and try this out. I do recommend it.

I’m a big proponent of natural/alternative medicine and take a fair number of supplements daily (probably more than the average person, but less than hardcore folks.) Sea buckthorn seed oil wasn’t previously on my radar at all, but it is supposed to have a number of important nutrients and purported benefits. Those nutrients include antioxidants, phytosterols, and all four omega fatty acids. I read that one of its potential benefits is alleviation of dry eyes, which I suffer from. I have been taking two capsules daily for a few weeks and can’t say that I’ve noticed any differences, but I do know it can take weeks or months to notice any effects from some supplements. (For instance, I took fish oil consistently for about six months before perceiving a subtle but noticeable improvement in my short-term memory.) I’m intrigued by the benefits of sea buckthorn seed oil and have experienced no ill effects from taking these capsules, so I will continue to take them.

I have taken sea buckthorn seed oil for several years, mostly for skin and hair benefits. What I discovered years ago is that it also helped lubricate my eyes, too, so I no longer suffer with persistently dry eyes as I once did. It helps prevent dryness in more intimate areas, too. This product is made by an unfamiliar (to me) manufacturer, so I did and do have some trepidation about ingesting it. So far, however, I’ve had no problems taking it. It is non-GMO and gluten-free, and a serving size is 2 easy-to-swallow 500-mg. softgels. This product is much more affordable than my usual brand, and there are 50 servings in each bottle. I will continue to take it, assuming I have no bad experiences with it. I will update this review if anything of concern or interest should arise. In the meantime, it’s an affordable supplement that has lots of potential benefits, so I do recommend it!
