I bought this because I read that castor oil makes your eyelashes grow. So, I put it on my eyelashes at night for about a week. My lashes actually DID turn long and luscious (probably due to the moisture, I suppose it’s not a miracle of castor oil alone) however I developed painful red styes along my upper lashlines in both eyes! Booo. But, I can’t totally blame this particular product, it could just be my sensitive eyes. It works well as facial moisturizer and as lip balm so I’m still getting use out of it. Has a slight motor oil scent.

I purchased this castor oil after doing a lot of reading, and reviews by users (not only on Amazon). I had very dense, thick dark hair, but in last 2 years it has been thinning (“shedding”). There has been quite a lot of stress in my life in the past few years, which I think is a contributing factor. Thinning hair was not a trait in my parents, nor is it in my siblings (both of them have more than ample heads of hair…so jealous!). So I have begun to use the Castor Oil to slow or stop the shedding I chose this brand for it’s excellent reviews. Too soon to know, but I shall maintain the faith!

I was looking for this, non-perfumed oil for a part of my hair that has a perpetual cowlick. This stuff did the trick. It is thick thick thick. At first I thought it was almost too thick at room temperature. I would warm the oil on my fingers for a second or add in a dab of jojoba oil, but now that I know the stuff better i find it easier to work with. It’s really delightfully viscous. It stays on the hair rather than just disappearing the way jojoba oil does on the most stubborn parts of my hair.
I have dyed hair: the tips sometimes look a little fried, or it will become so light that it refuses to stay in one place and will just billow in a messy looking way. No other oil comes close to fixing it the way this does. My hair stays put, it feels stronger, and looks less damaged. I’ve been looking for exactly this product for years.
If you over-apply, just keep running your fingers through your hair, maybe “dry” it with a towel to get rid of any excess. It eventually absorbs and feels fantastic.
Oh! And as a final step sometimes I hit it with a flat iron on the lowest setting {265 f on mine}. This works great to lighten the hair up a bit without erasing the benefits of the oil. I haven’t tried higher heat. Proceed with caution.
I’m very picky about odors, but this doesn’t bother me. It has a slight earthy smell, but it seems to go away pretty quickly after application.

Super excellent quality. I use a lot of organic oils/organic essential oils & this one is one of my favorites. I use it in my lotion recipe with raw organic Shea Butter & I also use it on my hair & and sometimes on my skin/body. I also use it for my dry eyes, I purchased a 4oz glass brown dropper bottle from here on Amazon and little tiny set of funnel that I also purchased from here on Amazon and I just pour the Caster Oil into the dropper bottle using a tiny funnel & then I use the caster oil 2 to 3 times a day just like regular eye drops. I drip teeny tiny eye drops sized drops of the caster oil from the dropper into each eye 2 to 3 times a day and in between that timeI also put in regular dry eyes drops that I also purchase here on Amazon, so with this Caster Oil & the dry tears drops & also with a very clean organic healthy plant based lifestyle/diet with mostly raw fruits and veggies, nuts and seeds, oils & legumes, beans etc staples being green smoothies and green juices that I make my self with my Vitamix blender and my Omega NC800R Juicer, this is working pretty good and is repairing my eye sight & turning my dry eyes into a thing of the past and repairing it. Caster Oil works so excellent for so many things internally and externally and this Caster Oil is top notch excellent awesome quality and this is my second time purchasing it and I will be doing it over and over again til the end as long as they sell this wonderful healing product. I love it &you will to, so go purchase yourself a bottle and enjoy all of the health benefits. It’sgood for the skin,hair, nails, colds, flu’s, infections and so on & you can use it on adults and even children & even pets. Enjoy!

I had seen a video by a girl who uses castor oil as a conditioner for her eyelashes to keep them as healthy and long as possible because she suffers from a medical condition which causes all of her eyelashes to fall out every few months. My eyelashes aren’t naturally very long to begin with, and due to stress and whatnot, I my hair had thinned quite a bit, and my eyelashes (and brows too) were just pathetic. I had spots in them where all the lashes had fallen out, and even with mascara, I was having a hard time making them look okay. So I figured hell, I’ll give it a try. The video stressed getting organic, because it has all good stuff that benefits your hair and skin. I got this, and have been applying every night to my eye area and brows. And ohmygod this is wonderful! I’ve been using this for 3 or 4 weeks and my eyelashes are at least 2-3 times as long as they were before, all the bare spots have filled in, and they are so shiny and healthy! I’ve been taking biotin as well, but I’ve taken that before and I have never had eyelashes like this. If they were darker, I could get away with not wearing mascara!
