Omega-3 fish oil has a lot of good health benefits including helping with depression and anxiety, eye health, brain health, improve risk factors for heart disease, reduce symptoms of metabolic syndrome, reduce inflammation and improve mental disorders along with many other benefits. Certain things you should look for in a good fish oil supplement is that it has at least 500 mg of EPA and 300 mg of DHA. This particular brand has 800 mg of EPA and 400 mg of DHA. This brand also doesn’t have a lot of other ingredients and additives, which is good. It’s also made in the USA.
There is a very slight strawberry taste to it but no fish oil aftertaste. And since they’re soft gel caps that are just swallowed and not chewed, the taste is not that important.
I did try adding one to my morning smoothie so I wouldn’t have to swallow the gel cap.
I would NOT recommend doing this, unless you enjoy a fish oil aftertaste. UGH!

I love the list of ingredients in these softgels but unfortunately, they left me burping the taste of fish for hours after consuming. I did take them with food but still an issue. At $21.24 for 240 gels, they are a great deal if you don’t experience the same issue as me. I do admit to having a sensitive stomach, which may have contributed to the issue.

I have been taking another brand of Omega 3 with half the strength of this at a significantly higher cost. I have not noticed any aftertaste or burping with this product. I will be setting it up as a Subscribe & Save order!

These pills are easy to swallow, and I look forward to seeing how it improves my triglycerides. There is no noticeable bad taste, and they do not cause me to burp, unlike other omega 3 supplements I’ve tried in the past.

I’ve long read about the benefits of omega-3, but I’m honestly not a big fan of fish. I like the occasional tuna sandwich, but beyond that it’s not my preferred food. So I thought I’d give these a try, as a means of getting this nutrient that I probably don’t get enough of in my daily diet.
So, a few things here…
1. I’m just confused by the “strawberry” flavor. These are soft gels meant to be swallowed quickly with a glass of water, not something meant to be held in the mouth and chewed. Why do they need flavoring? But of course in the process of taking these, I did end up with a little bit of the flavor in my mouth. Honestly, I didn’t find it all that pleasant – it was more of an approximation of strawberry made with chemicals than it was strawberry. More pleasant than fish oil would be, I assume, but the fish oil is inside the caplet and I shouldn’t ever taste it.
2. Maybe it was just psychological, or maybe it was what I ate for dinner (I did have a caesar salad, caesar dressing does have anchovy in it…), but I felt like I did get a bit of a fishy aftertaste for a few hours afterward. Not excessive, and not so much that it was really a problem, but not NOT there, either. Again, maybe it was just a result of my dinner that night. But it has made me a little hesitant to start taking them regularly or even try them a second time, as I don’t want to always be tasting that.
So, yeah… Omega-3, good for you. These soft gels do (supposedly, not like I broke one open and checked – as another reviewer noted, these do not have any lab certifications or anything like that listed) contain enough fish oil to give you a good dose. I guess they’re as recommended as any others, but I have mixed feelings on whether they’re for me.
One thing of note… These do contain porcine gelatin (i.e. pork collagen) in the ingredient list, so if that’s something that you shouldn’t have for religious or personal reasons, you might want to look elsewhere.

I have always had fish oil as part of my supplements but decided to try these and see if there is a difference. I love the taste, strawberry vs an oily taste is a nice change. I get blood work done every 6 months and I’m interested to see what my triglycerides are after the switch. I feel better and sleep better so these may be having a good effect.
