I like that These are Made in the USA Labeled as GMP and Third party Lab Tested. The 45 day supply Bottle of 180 Softgels was Safety Sealed with directions to take 4 per day. They are made from Anchovy , mackerel & sardines and have a fishy smell and caused me to have unpleasant fish burps.

I got these supplements to compare with another well known brand. At first, everything was identical or comparable. The other brand stated where their fish was sourced from (Peru, in this case). They also included the corporate contact information, address and email that both are legit. The website from this product goes to a generic purchasing website, not the manufacturer, that is available in multiple languages and you can pay in multiple country money. This doesn’t seem right for a product that is purportedly made in America. I’m not confident this company will stand by their product. Also, when you search the brand “Vani” online, no company comes up. The company April Link LLC listed on the product comes up as a shipping/logistics company. This product is a no-go for me.

I definitely don’t like how the fish smell is fairly strong when you smell the bottle, but at the same time, it’s nice to know it comes from fish as advertised. It would be nice to know which materials are imported like it says on the bottle, because if it’s the fish that’s imported, where are the fish retrieved? I would just want to confirm it’s not some radioactive location or something. I went on the website and couldn’t find any results of the 3rd party testing they’re referring to, but it’s a start. These capsules are fairly large in size.

I’ve been using the Soda Fish Oil Omega-3 (4000mg) for a while now, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Not only is the DHA impressive in each serving, but the EPA content is also remarkable. It’s so hard to find a supplement with such a great combination of both! The fact that it’s sourced from wild-caught cold-water fish makes it even better. Another major plus: these softgels are easy to take, unlike the giant horse pills from other brands. Plus, the fish-shaped capsules are fun and brought a smile to my face.

This VANI brand Fish Oil Omega 3 supplement provides 4000mg of fish oil in each 4 softgel serving and 1,200mg omega -3 fatty acids. This bottle contains 180 softgels which is 45 servings. While these fish oil softgels are not suitable for vegans because they are made from fish (Anchovy, Sardines and Mackerel), they are third party tested and they are flavorless and easy to swallow.
Taking a fish oil supplement has numerous potential health support functions including joint, eye, brain and skin health. I am pleased with this product and would order it again.

Anchovies, sardines, and mackerel are each known for their very impressive nutritional profile which of course includes quality Omega 3. As they are so much smaller than salmon, tuna, and other fish commonly rendered for fish oil supplements, they don’t have the same high level of mercury in them so for these reasons, they are in my opinion a healthier choice.
The levels of EPA and DHA listed are significantly higher than many other fish oil products, but keep in mind that the serving size which produces these levels is 4 soft gels per day. It reasonably smells strongly of fish, but also of chemicals and when I opened the lid, the inner safety seal *burst* open on its own.
Now for *the rest of the story*: I found that trying to track down the company behind this product was impossible, as described below. The bottle says it is ‘lab tested’ but as we have no way to reach the company, we cannot obtain a COA by which to verify their claim, also it states that it’s made in the US which is in general an ‘unregulated’ claim, and it depicts a generic GMP seal. The FDA *does not* grant such certification but if an independent certifier is used, the ‘seal’ displayed on the product label should identify the name of that entity.
As I have learned to do with any supplement, upon receiving it I began my research of the company by reviewing the label to confirm compliance with the FDA address labeling consumer safety requirement, by which it is intended that a consumer can easily and quickly locate contact information for the manufacturer or vendor, *should a serious adverse event be experienced* from using the product.
This product is non-complaint, per FDA 21 CFR 101.5; “You must list the street address if it is not listed in a current city directory or telephone book, the city or town, the state, and zip code. You may list the address of the principal place of business in lieu of the actual address.” There is *no* street address listed on the label and neither the business directory nor phone directory for Corona, CA has any listing for this business entity, so we have no phone number for them.
“Vani” is a trademarked brand name, and the label reads “April Link LLC, Corona CA 92883. The only pseudo contact information provided is an email address for an e-commerce website which in addition to selling numerous other brands of dietary supplements, sells a few of their other products (this one is not listed on that site as of 12/24). Clearly, should someone need to reach the company for *any* reason, that e-commerce site (nor Amazon for that matter) will be unable to provide the needed assistance.
The building, maintenance, and operation of a supplement manufacturing facility is prohibitively expensive; therefore, the vast majority of dietary supplements are produced by huge, private label manufacturers or contract manufacturers and then ‘brand’ labeled according to customer preferences. Their manufacturing location may be domestic or foreign and is not dependent upon where the product is marketed. This in general gives me confidence, as it is in the best interest of a US based manufacturer to make sure that what is listed on the label is in fact in the bottle but if the manufacturer is foreign, it could be but is *not* necessarily a matter of “all bets are off.”
As is always true of supplements ordered through e-commerce sites, until a *non-returnable* product is received, one really cannot know much about it. While the bottle may in fact contain what is advertised, all things considered, I will not use or reorder it and in turn cannot recommend it to other consumers.

I totally recognize the benefits of fish oil supplements, I just have trouble finding one that does not repeat on me. This one gave me strong fish burps.

These seem pretty typical and similar to other fish oil capsules I’ve taken. Just like the others, these gave me the same fish burps. It doesn’t seem to matter how much water I drink or how recently I’ve eaten, I get them like clockwork. I can’t really knock the product too much because this just seems to be the nature of fish oil (for me), but I really wish someone could figure out a way to deliver the oil without the side effect.
