I have been using this particular brand of oregano oil pills for many years now and it continues to deliver great results. This is a bit personal, but I figure if it can help another woman in need then that’s what’s most important: for almost 15 years I suffered from recurring episodes of BV. Doctors could never offer an explanation as to why or what I could do differently to resolve my problems – it was always “here’s some new cream/pill/suppository” and that was that. The problem with those prescription drugs is that they don’t only kill the BV, they kill everything including healthy bacteria needed for maintaining a healthy balance. So you can imagine that while I was solving my BV problem, I was creating all types of new problems at the same time. It was a vicious cycle and I was miserable for a long time.
I then turned to natural remedies – many of which simply did not work. Eventually I found the only thing that did work were Tea Tree Suppositories – which, while highly effective, are just SO messy.
Then I came across some information about oregano oil for women looking to maintain a healthy reproductive environment, naturally. I started taking Gaia Herbs Oregano Oil pills (2 pills a day every morning) and I kid you not within a couple of days I was completely BV free. It was like some kind of miracle! Over the years I have even tested to make sure this isn’t some kind of placebo effect – but every time I stop taking my oregano oil pills, within 1-2 weeks I’ll find myself experiencing the same familiar symptoms and I know it’s time to resume my oregano regimen.
I will say it sucks a little knowing that I have to take a pill, potentially for the rest of my life, to fix a problem that I wish Western medicine was interested in eradicating. But at the end of the day, the peace of mind and the sheer physical comfort of not having BV is 100% worth it. I have also read Oregano oil is excellent for fighting off colds or other types of infections – so the immunity boosting benefits are a bonus for me. I have also used it topically for minor skin irritations with great success (just be sure to mix with a carrier oil because it’s very strong and can burn the skin).

I have used this Gaia oil of oregano for many years. I usually buy it from my local health food store and have used it for an immunity boost whenever I feel a cold coming on. It has been wonderful for me until this batch.
Normally the capsules have a very strong scent of oregano and after ingesting them within 10 or 15 minutes, you can actually taste it oregano, kind of like “fish burbs” you know what I mean!
This batch # 90A17060 it’s different from the others I have used and I doubt it is bioactive.
I’ve called and left messages and have not heard back from them.
This cost $25-ish for 60 pills.
I need it to work as advertised, and as I know it has in the past.
I’m looking forward for someone to stand behind their product, they say they have a 30 day return policy
