I love this stuff. Makes my skin glow from within. Smooths my skin texture, makes stubborn and stuck comedones easily extracted. It does sit on top of your face for a while…It doesn’t sink in after 30 seconds for me which is bothersome a bit. But the benefits outweigh this. The packaging is also great. I got the pump bottle so that I didn’t have to keep opening it and exposing it to air. It has not oxidized (knock on wood) and I have about 2/3 -3/4 left since purchasing.
I bought this because of its claimed benefits for acne prone and dry skin. I’ve used other beauty oils in the past (jojoba being an incredibly popular one) but I never saw results from any of the others, so I honestly didn’t have much hope for this product either.
Was I wrong as ever! Three days after using this product, all of the stubborn comedones from my cheek bones had purged out. They must have been there for at least two months before and then suddenly came to head and I was able to extract them easily, without damaging my skin. That’s just the beginning of it. I’ve been using this product since Feb 20, 2012 and the blackheads from my nose have decreased significantly. They are smaller, easily extracted and most of the time virtually invisible if I remain consistent with application.
This oil has also smoothed my skin completely. My cheeks used to have small comedones that weren’t very visible, but could be felt under the skin. The skin was not smooth, but rather uneven and porous. Now, I don’t have any of these issues.

This seems to be really carrot seed oil with no dilution from a carrier oil. It’s working on my nails and face, but I haven’t tried it on my scalp yet. It looks right, smells right and feels right!

I used this on nights that my moisturizer does not seemed to be enough. I added 2 drops and mixed it with 1-2 drops of aloe water, rub it into the palm of hand then pat it on my face. After a few minutes, the oil completely absorb and my face does not even look oily. This oil moisturize and make my face feels super soft. I used it about 3-4 nights a week. I still have about 1/2 left after 2 years. The texture and smell are still the same so I still use it. I kept in my cosmetic cabinet, away from heat and light. I don’t think its help with wrinkles because the lines on my forehead are still there. It does not seemed to clog pores (no whitehead and no blackhead). Lately I have been using it more often because my skin have been extra dry due to retinol serum. After this product, I will try other oil (argan and camellia) from other brand to test it out. I enjoy testing out new beauty products.
Background: I have combination skin. I don’t have a problem with acne anymore (already 33 y.o) so I don’t know if this will be good for someone with acne problems.

I really needed this oil mainly for my pigmentation,uneven skintone& few acne Mark’s as this oil is well known for it.& I didn’t wanted to compromise on a cheaper quality.After reading few reviews I thought of giving it a try.Though it was very expensive but I was ready to pay the price if it was a genuine product.I can’t tell you how happy I was when I recieved it.Its 100%pure Tamanu oil.It has that slightly greenish colour & that nutty smell that tamanu oil originally has.Really happy with the purchase.& its organic so obviously there aren’t any additives.I apply it as dot dot on the required area & just tap it to absorb as I have acne prone combination skin & this oil is oilenic as well so for being on the safer side & avoid any breakouts I just do the spot treatment.Its been just a week since I’ve started using it, so will definitely update when I see results.I know it might take long but it’ll definitely give me the results.Thanks Amazon & the seller for such original product.

I ordered a second bottle and this one is very smooth. It also has a dropper lid instead of a pump, which works much better for this thick, creamy oil. I am still using it as a face moisturizer, and while my skin hasn’t become perfect, it stays moisturized without adding awful chemicals to my skin, which I can’t say for most other moisturizers.

I’ve had this tamanu oil for three months now. I got it because I have very sensitive skin and it’s natural and organic. The consistency of the oil has always been odd to me. It’s oily but also grainy. Since this oil comes in a bottle with a pump, and the graininess clogs the pump, making it ineffective, I’m hoping mine is a fluke. For anyone else who’s tried it, was it grainy for you?
Using it to moisturize my face after a shower, it leaves tiny bits of the graininess all over my skin, which I have to wipe off once the oil’s absorbed in. I don’t like that part because it looks dirty and I wonder how much of the oil (& my money) is wasted in clumping/graininess. Still, I really like this oil and am willing to give it another shot to see if the graininess is atypical.
Why I love this oil: I cut the tip of my thumb with a mandoline 5 days ago. It was fairly deep and in a slit/”v” shape. Gross, bloody, and painful. I used neosporin on it with a band-aid for the first 3 days (cleaning & changing at least 1x/day) with little change in the size of my cut and left it bare yesterday. Last night, I decided to try a little tamanu oil in place of neosporin. This morning, it looks like either side of the cut has begun growing back together so my thumb doesn’t look like it’s splitting in half down the middle. I am impressed. That’s enough reason for me to buy another bottle once this one runs out. If the next bottle is grainy, I’ll just return it and try another brand.

So this is my second time buying this product and I have to say, it is pretty strong and works phenomenal. The only reason I am giving this review/product 4-5 stars is because of the quality of container. Now I read this in the reviews prior to making my first purchase and I didn’t think much of it but now it’s like, wow, such a good worth while product and I’m just losing out on its worth because it leaks quite a bit. They deliver it to you with electric tape tightly rapped around the top as if that’s suppose to do anything. The cap is like a cheap aluminum that you would bake with so it easily can lose its shape. It just becomes a bit messy to. I know this has been a problem for some time and as petty as it maybe? Over that small thing I might just try something else next time.
