not 5 stars due to the sunflower oil. I’ve ordered 6 of these and emptied 4 of them over the past year. The flax seed oil tastes good, as time goes on I have developed a like of the taste and honestly taste it as delicious flax seed oil, tastes like the raw flax seeds that I like to chew. The cod liver oil I consume, in contrast, is nearly tasteless. Sediment in the heavy duty plastic container varies, the picture shows the most sediment that I have encountered. Other reviewers have had a cow regarding the sediment, one showed how their oil was not clear. The flax oil was a clear beautiful light yellow for me. as the sediment falls to the bottom and stays there. I don’t know why sun flower seed oil is an ingredient, but I agree with other reviewers and would prefer that the sun flower oil not be present. I am trying to avoid sun flower oil because it has a far higher omega 6 to omega 3 ratio.

This is an incredible product because it’s organic, has no salt, and is free of artificial colors. I’m super impressed that it’s certified by pro-cert! Really a testament to its quality. If you’re looking for a reliable product at a fair price, this is it!

I started using this when Trader Joe’s discontinued their flaxseed oil. This has turned out to be a great replacement and at a better price when on sale. Mine tastes fine, but If yours taste rancid, it is possible that some Amazon warehouses aren’t kept at an optimum temperature which could affect the quality (just a theory.) That “gunk” is the flax seed hulls ground up since this is a whole food that is not filtered. The solids do not dissolve and sink to the bottom. I take a long handled spoon to loosen the solid stuff and put it all in a blender to distribute it evenly for my salad dressing.

I’m a cook at home and love to use flaxseed oil with some unique middle eastern dishes. This oil met all my expectations at an excellent price.
The taste is not too aggressive, which is perfect for my dishes. The bottle is of a perfect size and dispenses the oil out perfectly with a light squeeze. The oil smells perfectly balanced with just the right clarity.
This is my goto flaxseed oil moving forward for sure.

I love the organic nature of this oil. It’s completely free from artificial colors and salts, which makes it a healthy addition to my diet. The fact that it’s organic only adds to its appeal. What’s more, it has a neutral taste. This makes it easy to incorporate into any dish without altering the flavor. In short, it’s a high-quality product that I can’t recommend enough.

I love the taste of Nature’s Way Flax Oil Super Lignan. I pour a few table spoons onto my Broccoli/ vegetables. The price is reasonable compared to others I have tried.

Even if you shake the bottle before every use you will still be left with a great volume of seeds at the bottom of the bottle and even taking a butter knife is very difficult to remove them

I have been taking the flax seed oil for many years. I got it from different brands and countries. I’m still in awe of what I found in this bottle. And not in a good way.
First, when I read the back of the label once bottle arrived, I noticed that it listed a sunflower oil as second ingredient. No mention of it on the front. Very deceiving. I don’t need sunflower oil. I am paying for flax seed. But it was only first of the many unpleasant surprises.
After learning about sunflower oil, I went to Amazon to return the bottle. Surprise! It’s not returnable!
Okay, let’s open it then. Once opened, I found dark sediment with consistency of finely grounded coffee under the foil covering the opening. Why? What is this? Never seen anything like that in my flax seed oil. Have they forgotten to strain? ( see the photo )
Next I poured some oil in the spoon. O, my! It was dark brown. Nope, that’s not the right color either. Then I poured about a half of the oil in the glass. It looks like black coffee. ( see the photos). No, no, no. That is not how it supposed to look like.
Then I don’t even know why I decided to try a drop of it. Big mistake! The bitterness is unbearable, very bad taste. The flax oil is expected to be slightly bitter, but this oil taste is wrong.
Just to satisfy my curiosity I decided to cut the bottle itself open to see what is inside. God, that looked terrible. Roughly 1/3 of content is dark brown sediment ( see the picture). It not supposed to be there, what is it, is it safe , why so much? I would leave those questions to the manufacturer here.
Feel free to answer.
Stay away from this oil. I would not recommend to consume it.
