I use this product in my skin care routine. I use it to take off my makeup, and I mix it would aloe vera gel to use as a moisturizer. I found it to be hydrating but not too greasy. It didn’t break me out, which is a big deal because I have sensitive skin. The reason that I gave it 4/5 stars is because I’m not entirely sure if this is real hazelnut oil. Hazelnut oil is supposed to be light yellow, and this product looks clear in my hands. It might look different in the bottle, but that is impossible to tell because the bottle is purple.
Just something to keep in mind. Otherwise, I have no complaints and I really enjoy using this.

I was sitting in the hair salon complaining to my hairdresser about how coloring my hair always makes it feel like straw. And for what?? The color seems to only last for 4 weeks and then i’m shelling out another $125 (plus tip) to get it colored again. He recommended I use cold pressed hazelnut oil as a way to strengthen my hair and to retain my color. Well.. it works! It has been 6 weeks since my last color and I am now just seeing some grey in my hair and will probably not need a root touch up until week 8. I use 1-2 drops of oil on my ends after showering and once a week, I wet my hair and massage oil in my hair and scalp and then leave it in overnight and wash it out in the morning. My color has kept it’s shine and my hair doesn’t feel like straw. I also mix a drop or 2 into my conditioner. I put oil on my skin after showering and will mix a little in with my moisturizer. I am prone to breaking out and have NOT had any breakouts when I use this on my face 🙂 Bottom Line – the Vitamin E qualities in this is amazing. Use a SMALL AMOUNT or you will be a greaseball. the 4 oz bottle will go a long way if you’re only using 1-2 drops at a time. Yes, I would buy this again and will whenever I run out.

I purchased this after considering a luxury brand body oil “tonic” that was $90 for approximately 3.4 ounces. The first ingredient on that product’s list was hazelnut oil, so decided to try this hazelnut oil after some research. Oils usually don’t work well for me on my skin, but this one really does. My skin has been dry due to excessive hot showers and a long-lasting winter here. I apply this after I get out of the shower, after I dry off lightly. I don’t know if its the humidity of the bathroom or what, but applying at that time leaves my skin itch-free and soft. Tonight I applied it several hours after my shower and had to use lotion on top of the oil, because my skin still felt itchy. So for me, shower timing matters. This hazelnut oil soaks in well, and my skin is velvety soft. There is no greasy feel–it is an oil though, so I wear a robe around for a bit to give it a chance to fully soak in, which it does fairly quickly. What is really interesting is that I have eczema and this seems to be helping, maybe because it is a little denser than a lotion? More skin protective? Not sure. I also tried this on my face and did not break out, amazing since I break out from many commonly used oils. All in all, this was an experimental purchase for me and I will be rebuying this exact product. It came securely packaged and leak free.
