This is the only kind of lip balm I can use because most have lanolin and I’m allergic to lanolin, which is an animal product. It is also very soft and doesn’t have a bad taste. I’ve been using it for years.

I have used a name brand for 30+ years, had to re-apply 4 or more (usually more) times a day, I decided to try something different. I read some good reviews on a different site for this brand. For a little while I was still applying multiple times a day, yesterday I realized that I have only been applying O’Keeffe’s lip balm in the morning and then again at night. My lips feel much softer and I am so glad that I found something that works so great for me.

I have chronic extra dry lips and have tried everything possible over the 10 years to fix them. One day I found O’Keefe’s Cooling Lip Repair and wow my lips started to heal. I truly did not believe it was possible so I bought a second one for my daughter who has the same chronic dry lips and oh my she had the same reaction, her lips started healing too. Now we both have soft lips as long as we use O’Keefe’s. I have to buy the multi-packs so I have plenty at all times. I highly recommend it for people who have horribly cracked lips or for people that want soft lips.

I gave 4 stars because the package came earlier than expected. However, one of the three lip balms, the tamper resistant seal was broken as well as having a damaged cap when I took it out of the package. So I can not use the one at all. I don’t want to return all of them as it was only the one damaged as you can see in the photo. But just something to be aware of. My family and I are looking forward to using the two good ones to keep our lips from getting chapped in the brisk cold Wisconsin weather.

This is the only stuff that works for me. Every fall through winter I get the worst dry, cracking, peeling lips. I have a tendency to hoard lip balms, so I have a ton of them; however, none of them actually heal my lips like this one.
I’ve tried plenty of others that have moisturized my lips quite well, but don’t help to heal the damage that’s already occurred. The minute my lips become even remotely dry again, the skin is uncomfortably tight and flaky and I have a bad tendency to pick at or peel which makes it worse.
This balm is the only one that gives me a relief from dryness and keeps my skin from feeling tight or cracked once it wears off. Even the regular O’Keeffe’s formula (non-cooling) doesn’t do the trick like this one does. It also looks good on my lips. I’m not sure how to explain it, but the balm is pretty matte and not glossy or greasy-looking like some other lip treatments. It makes my lips look healthier and filter. I love everything about this balm.

This seems to be the only one that works for my son who constantly licks his lips at school. I have purchased them multiple times and he keeps them everywhere. Great product and I also like how they feel on my lips. He states that these do not burn his lips like some of the other minty brands we have tried.
