Oceanblue essentials Mood Food 60 ct burpless fish oil soft gels. Gluten free, nut free, lactose free, and no artificials. Mercury free, non gmo, and USA made. Woot woot! Expiration date on the bottom reads 9/2026, two years out. The pills are pretty small and easy to get down, but the serving size is 2, fyi.
I was skeptical as I’ve tried a lot of “burpless” omega 3s with mixed results, but this one is a winner! The container came with an inner security seal. They smell slightly fishy inside but taste orangey and go down smooth. I think the title; Mood Food, is catchy but kind of misleading. I don’t think fish oil is typically used a mood enhancer. In studies it has helped with depression but I’m not sure of the dosage and I believe there are more effective medications/supplements out there specifically for that, imo.
As for me, I use these to help alleviate my chronic constipation. They’re also good to take if you’re TTC. Sadly, while I believe this product to be of a great quality, the value is in serious question for me. 35$ is a lot for only a month supply! In comparison, my former Carlyle brand is as 27$ for a 300 count!
Customer Review –
What’s the point of mentioning the flavor if the pill is to be swallowed? The shape is a little too round and rotund to be swallowed without a big glass of water and the value is rather expensive for the 1000 mg class at only 60 capsules. They don’t seem any better or worse than other fish oil brands that I use, but for the value, I cannot justify spending triple what I normally do to purchase these.

Usually I add product photos, but this Oceanblue Essentials Mood Food is exactly as shown on Amazon.
There are so many choices for Omega-3 fish oil supplements and I have to say, this one really ranks up there and it’s one reason the cost for this product is much higher than others.
The Made in USA, the mercury free, the third party testing, and the addition of a citrus (D-Limonene) to reduce the fishiness make this a superior product in my mind, in terms of quality. There is even a certificate of analysis available for this product – available by scanning the QR code on the bottle.
The only thing I wish this product would have done is to use a gelatin versus bovine (cow) capsules. I steer (pun) clear of cow products and prefer vegetable or cellulose capsules.
The reusable plastic container has an easy to peel off label, so the container can be reused. One hack is I always transfer my supplements to glass bottles (recycled from food purchases or other supplements) to avoid the plastic exposure. Hope this review helps you decide if this Omega 3 supplement is the right product for you.

These are a bit higher cost than I would like but there are many things I like about this product. Can we start with the company producing these. Very transparent, ethically sourcing their materials, very high quality and earth conscious! I’m very impressed. Also, I’ve never been able to stomach fish oil supplements – between the constant fish burps and upset stomach, I would try a brand, give up, and then toss them in the trash even though I knew I could benefit from them. I do not have that problem with these – finally one I can take! Perhaps it’s the added orange, I dunno. But a big thumbs up from me. This is a quality product – so like the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

I ordered these Oceanblue Essentials Mood Food because I wanted to see if they are in fact a “burpless” option, as I take fish oil daily and have had some truly gross experiences in the past. So far (half the bottle in) I am impressed and can say that the claim holds true. I see that they are made in the USA, which is nice for those of us that live here- supporting “local”.

I like this stuff. I do not like the taste of fish so, I really am dependent upon supplements to get the wonderful nutrients that fish offer. That being said, I’m also really sensitive to the taste and smell of fish, the last thing I wanna do is smell or taste the stuff when I burp. Ew.
This is one of the few supplements that I tried that is truly tasteless and odorless. Yes, you can get less expensive products, but, it’s worth it to me to avoid the taste/smell of fish. I am a very happy customer.

This bottle of 60 has 61 softgels! Bonus. This fish oil supplement has 1.2 grams and 1000 milligrams of DHA, which is exactly what I want—a lot per serving, where many brands fall short.
Yes, at first sniff, they’re a little fishy, but courtesy of the added orange flavor, they go down easily. They’re on the large side, but in my experience, most fish oil supplements are fairly large.
There is a QR code on the bottle for you to scan to access the Certificate of Analysis. Easy! No begging; they are transparent. Ocean Blue appears to be a reputable company, and they are a KD Pharma Group brand.

These fish oil capsules have been very good, they are indeed “burpless” and they don’t leave an aftertaste or anything like that. There are of course better deals on a one-month supply of fish oil, but these ones are made in the USA and seem to be very high quality. They even list which fish these capsules are derived from (anchovy, sardine, herring, and mackerel). I think that should be standard in the industry but oh well.
These get a thumbs-up!
