I guess this is kind of supplement is appropriate at this time of year, due to the number of holiday feasts and the tendency to eat more carbs in colder weather. Who would complain about a supplement that features ingredients to block carbohydrate absorption and lower blood pressure? (Not to mention healthier nails and longer hair, haha).
So, reading up on White Kidney Beans, specifically as an extract, found that studies have indeed found that it does inhibit carbohydrate absorption. It has significant fiber, which also aids in producing a full feeling, which decreases appetite. Thus, it encourages weight loss. Weight loss will often lower blood pressure. So, the claims of this supplement are not outlandish.
I like that it contains additional components that reinforce and support the stated health benefits and weight control. Ingredients like cinnamon and bitter melon have been shown to offer positive influence on blood sugar and blood pressure.
Of course, this is not a miracle pill, and results won’t happen overnight. (If it does, tomorrow morning I’ll edit this review…after I buy alot of this supplement, haha.) Even though the studies involving white kidney bean were limited, indications are notable. So, my opinion is it’s worth testing.
By the way, one serving is 4 capsules! That seems like a lot. Perhaps a significant quantity of fiber achieves the reduced carbohydrate absorption?

Obvi Guilt Free Carb Blocker is a really good way to cut back on carbs and curb your appetite. The capsules are easy to swallow. Four capsules is one serving. I took two capsules and it worked for me. I like to take the least amount of stuff I can. But this definitely made me feel full and it kept me full for a long time.

if you’ve been taking a carb blocker for awhile, then you will not notice any difference. if you’ve never taken a carb blocker, you will very likely notice some weight loss. i’ve been taking carb blockers for quite some time, so unfortunately i think i’ve lost all the initial ‘lower carb’ weight i’m going to lose – but that doesnt stop me continuing to take them.
this one is similar to most using white kidney bean as the main ingredient. however it does throw in some interesting extras that help weight loss in other ways. none of these things are guaranteed, but are definite maybes. there’s nothing in here that gets funky though – nothing that will make you jittery or overly excited. it’s a pretty simple add to support your diet.
i found the dosing to be a little odd. it suggests you can kick off your morning with 4, or take them througout the day. i would understand if it were a multi-vitamin or something where you can take 2 up front or split the dose, but a situation where you lead off the day with 4 seems wild. the carb blocking ingredient (white kidney bean) doesnt have a time release capability. if you lead with 4, you are just blocking your AM carbs. I recommend one with each meal – two if there is a super high carb meal, but max at 4 for the day. so like 2 with breakfast and one with lunch and one with dinner, or some variation of that. or just do one with each major meal and leave it at that.
there are no guarantees, it’s not a magic pill, but it is a nice little helper to support weight loss that isnt full of bad things that make you feel weird. i appreciate diet support that doesn’t increase my heart rate or feel like i need to be running, like always.
