I can’t pretend that I understand the cosmetics market in any way–everyone has different ingredients, many with slightly nuanced versions of slightly better or worse moisturizers for slightly differing types of skin or whatever. And the scents? Oh man, some are pleasantly light, and others are like gargling with old spice deodorant while slapping yourself with leather bound birch branches. Overwhelming and unnecessary. My demands from cosmetics are mainly that it doesn’t tick me off while trying to do its job.
What I love about this product is that is truly is scent free, goes on easy and “sheer,” is super lightweight, and I don’t feel like some kind of Hollywood a-hole for trying to moisturize my skin a little after a shower and shave with this stuff. I’m just a regular dude, getting just a little older, who likes to be clean and shaven, and this stuff seems to work well. No hassle, no stink, no gritty or slimy feeling.
I can’t tell you if pure hyloronic acid, or jojo oil, or buttermilk is better in some way that I just haven’t researched enough on; what I can tell you is that it works well and I don’t mind using it everyday/every time I shave.
I am mainly reviewing this, as I buy it yet again, to remind myself that this is the one I tried and liked way more than a few of the other similar options.

my old moisturizer was discontinued and wanted to find a light, non-greasy replacement. Oars and Alps does the job. Goes on light and keeps my skin from drying out.

This is the best facial moisturizer I have found. It has essentially no smell, it absorbs quickly into my skin, and it isn’t oily. I’ve never had any blemishes or break-outs around the use of this product, and I cannot say the same for other products I have tried, like Dove Men+Care’s moisturizing face cream. My experience has been very good, and I will continue to use Oars + Alps. I do wish the price was lower and the tube was larger, but a little bit seems to go a long way.

This product has a great scent and texture. It’s marketed to men but as a female I find it really difficult to find a face moisturizer that isn’t too rich and heavy and that smells way too perfumey. This is a go to especially for summer! .

This product feels nice on the skin, sets in well. Lasts quite awhile but not all day or all night. It is a good moisturizer and would be great for someone with moderately dry skin loos for a good value.

This is the best lotion I’ve used so far. It’s thicker than all the others I’ve used and moisturizes really well. With this one, I only need one coat, whereas with others, it takes 2-3. It’s on the pricey side, but I’ve found it’s worth it. Glad I found one that works well for me.

I’ve been using moisturizer since I was 18 so I’ve seen many different moisturizers. For many years I was using Oil of Olay micro-sculting moisturizer. In a few years I’m going to be 50 so I decided it was time for something more advanced. I googled it and it was #3 in top moisturizers for women over 50. It had a nice price, all natural and carried by Amazon which are 3 things that originally attracted me. When I got it I opened and used it right away. I noticed that it was thicker, no strong scent, I didn’t have to use as much but most importantly I was very impressed with how it made my skin feel right away. I know it says face and eye cream but next I’m going to purchase the Oars and Alps eye cream

I am sensitive to scent. I also have aging skin. I bought this because so many of the moisturizers marketed to women are crazy scented. This moisturizer blends into my skin easily. It is not oily. There is no scent. It’s a light moisturizer, but it doesn’t leave my skin dry either. Not at all waxy or oily feeling. I will continue to use it.
