Taste is palatable, and prevents or cures cramping due to electrolyte depletion. My husband sweats profusely, and so can tolerate the heat, except for muscle cramps. He’s also a “more is better” kind of guy so tends to over do the powdered replacement. These have given him the one tablet to 16oz of water formula that cures his cramping without waste. That makes them less expensive than others.

I was hospitalized three times last year where the ER diagnosed me with a heart condition the first two times, requiring follow up with a cardiologist, who did multiple tests, finding my heart is completely normal, third hospitalization diagnosed with “it must be your kidneys”, requiring follow up with a kidney specialist who diagnosed me with “stage one” kidney failure. For those who do not know, pretty much 99% of all humans are at stage one kidney failure. Hospital never reviewed my blood tests which were totally off the charts, either too high or too low. They were so intent on finding some type of organ failure with me. I had to have IV infusions of potassium and magnesium, I also was suffering from sepsis, none of which were taken seriously. I started using Nuun tablets upon the recommendation of a friend. Since then, three sets of blood tests have all showed my blood levels at “normal”. I have seen reviews on here stating “there are no electrolytes in this product”. How do they determine that? I can tell you from my blood tests that “something” is going right with me! I don’t particularly care for the “fizzy” aspect (I do not drink soda at all), and the flavor is not always all that great, but I do supplement my water with root beer flavored single serving powder, and the combination of the Nuun flavor with the root beer makes it an awesome flavor!! I don’t know about feeling better, but my lab tests show that I am now perfectly balanced, and I am happy with that, and will continue ordering the Nuun tablets!

On July 22, 2024 I ordered these Electrolyte Tablets and they showed up the next day. Yay! But, the shipment was damaged. It was about 107F in Las Vegas that day and what I got was a melted together mess with all the caps extruded. Amazon considers this a Food Item and won’t replace it. Contacted Nuun and part of their response was “We strive for excellent product quality, and you don’t deserve anything less than that. Sometimes when extreme heat or moisture creeps into the tubes, the tablets can start to react prematurely, causing them to discolor or stick to each other or the tube. We do have a desiccant in the lid to prevent this from happening, but it does occur from time to time when the item is improperly stored or damaged during transit.” They know about the problem but I got this from Nuun “Unfortunately, we do not have access to information for Amazon orders, so we are not able to replace them. We do stand behind our products.” Nope, I had a product damaged in shipment and they did NOT replace it. If I shipped it back I could get a refund, but no tablets. Pathetic. What I expected was to send the picture (above), they realize it wasn’t my fault that defective product arrived, and replace them. Nope. This is the first and now last product I buy from Nuun.

I didn’t want caffeine. I wanted an inexpensive electrolyte drink that was easy to prepare and took up very little space in the house. When I’m going to run at the track, I pop a pill into my water bottle and it’s ready for me when I get there.
