Every single day I take two scoops of this Vitamin C Powder and mix it with JUCE. Mixed with the JUCE powder it reminds me of a sweet and tart candy. The best part of this is how good I feel each day. Honestly, I feel more energized and as I work in a hospital, I am please to say that I have stayed relatively healthy. As a matter of fact I went a whole year and a half without missing one day of work or being sick. The small container lasts for months so it is a very good value. I highly recommend this product.

The taste is tart and I prefer this to pills. I needed the extra ascorbic acid because I was lacking and this makes it easy to add to my drinks. There is a small measuring scoop inside.

It has a slightly sour taste and is a brewed type. Therefore it is quite difficult to eat.

Great price for pool owners, less than HALF what the pool shop costs.
When we purchased our house it came with a salt water pool. Having never owned a salt water pool, I didn’t realize that the generator didn’t work properly at low (~55 degrees F) temperatures, so over the winter my chlorine level went very low – leading to a black and mustard algae problem. Compounding my mistake I took the pool shop’s advice and bought a copper based algaecide. (Don’t do this … Search “Pool SLAM” for a much better technique) This certainly worked for the algae – but it created another HUGE problem – staining all the white surfaces in the pool.
I still had some residual staining on my plastic pool eyeballs, so I pulled them out and let them soak overnight in a bowl with some Vit C. The same thing you see here will happen to the rest of your pool. Of course this only works on metal stains.
Continuing to research it, I found out that a metal removal combined with Vit C will re-dissolve the copper and pull it out of the water. Here’s how:
1) lower your chlorine level to < 1 (.5 or lower if you can get it there)
2) lower your ph to around 6.8 – this helps re-dissolve the metals
3) Pour in the Vit C and let the pump run for a few days. I had to do this twice the staining was so bad. Watch for algae blooms if you take more than a couple of days with low chlorine.
4) Raise the pool level up to shock level (5 or so) and monitor the chlorine level. The remaining Vit C will consume the chlorine, so you’ll have to work on getting it to stay up.
5) Clean your filter.
Be happy!

But sour but that’s to be expected. Quality is on point and dissolves well

“The Nutricost Vitamin C container is made from High-density Polyethylene (HDPE). HDPE is a common plastic found in kitchens, bathrooms, and even kid’s playroom. Its chemical resistance, strength, and durability make it useful for many needs around homes, communities, and industry. This HDPE container is grade #2 plastic. Plastic containers come with a food-grade rating on the bottom that ranges from 1 to 7. This gives consumers an idea of how safe they are for storing their food. Plastic grades 2, 4, and 5 are the safest for food storage. BPA plastic is not considered safe for storing food. This container is BAP free by the way and is chemical and heat resistant and doesn’t release harmful toxins”

There isn’t any special way it seems to know for sure how, or if it is working, (though with Vitamin C one can usually tell more easily at some point unlike with some other substances) unless you have the product tested. So, we must trust what the company says about the quality of their product. Relatively good price though.

This stuff is GREAT! Just a tiny little scoop that holds 1,000mg (1 gram) of Vitamin C. I put 4 level scoops of it in our glasses of iced tea, it gives a lemony flavor. Warning though, it’s really sour, so for my tea I add sugar to taste to counter it, my husband likes it without the extra sugar. My uncle, a doctor, has taken 10,000+mg (10+ grams) of Vitamin C a day for years. It’s a water soluble vitamin, so any extra C is eliminated through your urine, which is very good for your kidneys.
Vitamin C is touted by experts as a miracle vitamin that can help fix all sorts of physical problems, but the tablets can be a pain. If you’re a Vitamin C nut like I have become (since having serious kidney problems), drinking it in your drinks (including not just tea but any drink you choose) is a pleasant alternative to taking those bulky tablets or chewing the lozenges multiple times a day. I highly recommend this powdered version and am really happy I found it! This is my 2nd order, and I plan to keep on ordering it, I never want to run out. LOL
Some have asked if this is L-ascorbic acid, so I hunted down the manufacturer’s site, this is what they say:
Nutricost Vitamin C – Nutricost.com https://www.nutricost.com/products/75/vitamin-c
“Vitamin C, or L-ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble essential vitamin. It is a very popular dietary supplement due to its antioxidant properties, safety, and low price.”
From a Google search I have found that Nutricost is listed as a reliable producer of high-quality supplements with an excellent reputation.
No, Nutricost didn’t pay me for this review or give me any product for a discount or free, I just LOVE the stuff, so had to emote.
