The label and description suggests that this is a “Meal Replacement”. It doesn’t have enough protein to fully replace a meal. But it certainly could be added to something else to reduce your need to eat less nutritional foods. It might also work great as a between meal snack.
The flavor is good. Like many Vegan Protein powders, there is a slight after taste, it’s a little overly sweet, a bit gritty, and a bit chalky. It’s better than most Vegan Protein powders I’ve tried. The flavor is a bit darker chocolate than many. You can actually taste “chocolate”.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t have a lot of Calcium or any Vitamin D. But It does have 2mg of Iron. If there is other nutritional value, it’s not claimed on either the label or the description page. If you’re wanting to use this to replace a meal, I would expect it to have more nutritional value.

Being the head of a sports fanatics household, protein supplements are a must have. Let’s try out this Nutricost Organic Vegan Meal.
What’s good:
Mid-sized 2.1lbs. canister contains 30 servings/ (32g) scoops that provide 120 calories but only 15g of protein.
Certified USDA and CCOF organic, Gluten-free, Non-GMO, Vegan product.
So-so flavor: organic coconut milk powder, organic cocoa powder, organic dark chocolate flavor.
Sweetened with organic stevia extract. No artificial sweeteners.
Dissolves readily in hot or cold water. Mix well.
Adds 39mg Calcium, 2mg Iron, and 200mg potassium (trace minerals and electrolyte).
Helpful protein/meal calories supplement for active, sporty individuals, or folks aiming to lose weight.
Slight Concerns:
Doesn’t taste too good compared to whey protein but acceptable when mixed in with my fruits in a protein smoothie.
10g of carbs per serving with no added sugars is alright but may not work for folks on a low carb diet.
Only 15g of protein per serving while competing products are more than 25g per serving.
Hefty price of $34.95 (after $5 off coupon. Feb. 10, 2023) = $1.04 per oz. May not be cost effective for high volume consumption.

I’ve tried quite a few protein powders over the past year in an attempt to find another alternative to meat consumption. While the chocolate variety of this Nutricost protein powder is among the best tasting that I’ve tried, it also provides a relatively low 15g of protein per serving (the lowest I’ve ever come across) and doesn’t mix very well. I much prefer Jacked Factory chocolate protein powder, which I’ve raved as being “chocolaty, satisfying, and economical”. Jacked Factory provides 22g of protein per serving, and provides the same number of servings per jar at $1.05 per serving versus Nutricost’s $1.33 per serving at current prices. This means that to consume 22g of protein using Nutricost it would set you back $1.95 compared to $1.05, which is almost 2x the cost of Jacked Factory. Apart from taste, cost, and amount of protein per serving, it’s also important to consider the sources of protein. Nutricost protein is sourced from organic rice protein and organic pea protein isolate, whereas Jacked Factory protein is sourced from organic pea protein isolate, sunflower seed protein, organic pumpkin seed protein, watermelon seed protein, and mung bean protein. I was aware of Nutricost from past usage of some of its supplements, such as D3 and Taurine, and mainly ordered these products due to the low cost, so it’s good to see Nutricost offer a certified organic, vegan, gluten free, and soy free product. And I hope the company continues to go in this direction.

it tastes absolutely awful and I’m not able to return it. they placed the P65 sticker on after I purchased it. I feel deceived and never have bought it had I seen it prior to purchase.

I love that you get 30 servings so it will last a while. It is pretty easy to mix in a shaker. Flavor is decent. I do wish it had a bit more protein (15 grams of protein per serving). It does keep me pretty full for a few hours so I do recommend it.

I got this because I like protein powders to help supplement what I probably don’t get in my daily diet. This is what I would call more of a snack replacement shake because it only has 120 calories per scoop, but it does contain lots of vitamins and 15 grams of protein per serving. It mixes well in a protein shaker bottle and I tend to use almond milk with it. It has a good chocolatey flavor for a vegan powder as well. I’d recommend it.

When I think meal replacement shake, I think of something along the lines of GOL meal replacements, or comparable macros and micros. This Nutricost “meal replacement shake” is missing vitamins, minerals, fats, etc. to be considered a meal replacement shake. It has 15 grams of protein from two sources (rice and pea) and 10 grams of carbs. 320 grams of sodium and a hardly worth mentioning 48 mg of calcium and 1 gram of fiber. Meh.
The taste is quite good for what it is, and if you’re taking this simply as a protein shake with carbs (think vegan recovery shake) then it’s fine. But a meal replacement shake in what is really considered a meal replacement shake it is not. Unless you consider anything that you substitute for a meal (a rice cake, a cookie, a glass of water) a meal replacement.
You can do better.
