I knew I was on to something with this supplement when I saw it had dong quai in it. My acupuncturist along with every other Traditional Chinese Medicine source will tell you that dong quai is a woman’s friend during those times of the month we don’t feel 100%. Thousands of years of tradition are not wrong and you owe it to yourself to try this. I’m very happy with this supplement. A+

This is a DIM Supplement, which is appropriate normally for both men and women, however, this particular supplement contains additional ingredients specifically designed to help women through PMS and menstrual cycle symptoms. The product arrived with a strong outer and inner seal on the bottle both of which were intact. The supplement is presented in standard large size gel capsules. There was no loose powder or any evidence of problems with the capsules or the packaging.
I especially appreciated the honest and direct labeling on the front of the bottle. You get 120 capsules and that is a 120 day supply. They do not play any games with serving sizes on this product.

For reference, I’ve been taking a DIM supplement for almost 3 years. It really helps with my PMS symptoms and makes dealing my cycle easier. I usually take a different brand but switched to this to test out different brands. I noticed this month that I wasn’t even tired before my period and right when it starts. Normally that’s my only inconvenience I experience each month but it also tells me they I’m about to get it. I was totally surprised this month because I felt normal and didn’t even know I was getting my period! Definitely works and I would recommend!!

I got this because I love the health attributes DIM has. Very simply said Dim removes the ‘bad’ estrogen (may). Now when we hear that we think of PMS or bloating etc. And yes while it does help with that dept (may) I am talking about the really bad estrogen that can lead to cancers, etc (may). Actually one of the sides of DIM is darkened urine with a strong odor which is a sign that your liver has released stored up bad estrogen (may). I only see that rarely and its usually when I start DIM and my estrogen is high and I have my dim stacked with Sulforaphane. I take Dim 4 days a week each week except when I start experiencing the high ups and downs with mood swings. I take it all week then, as it helps balance that out.
Now speaking of mood swings there are the other ingredients in this that helps too. Nutricost usually is single ingredient company IMO so I am surprised to see these other ingredients and like what I see. The calcium of course for bone support. The black cohosh for hot flashes, night sweats and irritability (may). And the Dong Quai for cramps, irregular cycles, and PMS (may). So all of these ingredients are working together for a better feeling and happier you (may). Now they are not miracle workers so do not expect as much. They ‘Help’. Some women notice huge improvements and some women notice very little or nothing at all. But the main thing IMO is reducing(may) the disease risk associated with that bad estrogen (may).
Now nutricost has been around forever. I have been taking their supplements for decades. I always search for them on single ingredient or uncomplex supplements as they always seem to have the best prices IMO. Sometimes they have real bargains. And yes they third party test all their supplements and would not ever consider releasing anything other than what the bottle says to insure maintaining their excellent reputation. They disclose their ingredients are globally sourced like almost all the supplement companies do. But they disclose it (unlike others) which shows a nothing to hide product. This is a very good company IMO.
As I stated this works well with Sulforaphane and I stack my DIM with that. It is certainly one way to try to make the DIM work stronger. There are plenty of articles you can research on that online. The dosage on this is at 400 mgs which is on the high end and I personally would not take more than that. It does not have any bad sides that I am aware of other than the dark colored urine and that’s only a sometimes thing. I feel really good taking this as it makes me feel better protected with my health and it also helps with my moods. So great product, great company, great dosage and The best of Luck !
