I use this every day. This is a great product that performs well. It is the same form of vitamin C used in those powder packets. The only thing I would say in warning is if you are extremely sensitive to corn, you may have trouble with this supplement. My husband can’t take it for very many days before he has a reaction, but my son takes it every day and has no problems with it, despite being very sensitive to corn as well.
I love that you can take higher doses of it without stomach upset. It is very easy on the system.
It has a mild salty taste, but don’t be put off by it. I just add it to water and drink it down. I can get my preschooler to take it in his sippy cup. You don’t need a lot at one time. One quarter teaspoon equals 1100 mg of vitamin C.
I always stock up on it in the fall so I have plenty during the winter months.

I am a 65 year old female. I’ve been using this product for about a year. I have suffered with constipation, hemorrhoids, fissures, and now a fistula since July 2015. This product has saved me. I first purchased a much more pensive buffered C calcium ascorbate with magnesium and potassium…it was effervescent. I practically held my nose so I wouldn’t taste it or added fruit punch (which isn’t too nutritious). I used a teaspoon every morning. But, by golly, it saved my life (or so I felt) last summer. That particular product is more than twice as expensive as Nutribiotic. After researching the different types of buffered C, I discovered the sodium ascorbate is not any less healthy than the other product and, in fact, it may be better. I started with the small jar of Nutribiotic after researching reviews, ingredients, purity, etc. I used a teaspoon (one scoop) every single morning when I wake up on an empty stomach. The taste is not unpleasant…just a little salty water. I usually wait a half hour to three hours before eating breakfast. I’m usually in the bathroom less than hour after drinking it. This is my second 2 pound container I’ve purchased. Very fast shipping. I no longer take miralax, Metamucil, fiber powder, or stool softeners. (That right there is a huge savings!). I no longer worry about fiber intake as I feel that’s where my endless cycle began. I have a fistulotomy scheduled for next month, and I will continue to take this.

The benefits of megadosing Vitamin C are miraculous. I personally use it to do a vitamin C flush and also for daily intake for my mood and immune system. I also work at a substance abuse treatment center. I have encouraged clients to do a megadose vitamin C for their opiate withdrawals and I have had clients that literally needed NO comfort MEDICATIONS only Vitamin C to almost remove all symptoms of withdrawal. So much more beneficial then having them getting hooked on Suboxone or Methadone and ultimately withdrawal from that mess.
