The capsules are easy to open so you can pour the powder in the milk bottle and then shake it up. One capsule will convert the lactose in one gallon of milk in four days (in the refrigerator). Two capsules will do it in two days. To confirm this, I used a blood glucose meter to test the milk before and then after putting in the powder, at 12-hour intervals. Lactase breaks lactose down to glucose and galactose.

This product is great! I have been buying my pills from the health food stores and the super market and they have only kind of worked. They also were not as strong as these pill are. I love them. You only have to take one and I never have any problems!

My husband uses this all the time. It doesn’t seem to have other ingredients that irritate his delicate digestive system, unlike so many other lactase enzyme products.
