This vegan protein powder is derived from pea, pumpkin seed and hemp. I love those ingredients! I haven’t detected any flavor, and I add it to all sorts of things. I add it when I bake, I add it to my coffee, I add it to my smoothies, and I add it to my fruit juice. I cannot even tell it is in anything, yet I am getting the protein I need.
NOW brand is a brand that I have trusted for years. This product is packed in the USA.

Right off the bat – my bad did not include a scoop. Not a deal breaker but c’mon…
I tested this product out using 12 fl oz of cold water & manually weighed out 32 grams (the stated serving size on the back of package).
Using your standard blender bottle (shaker + wire whisk ball), I shook it for about 10 seconds & it all went into solution easily without clumps. Very little foam as well.
Now, onto the important part of this review: the taste.
To me, this mostly tastes like unsalted/unroasted pumpkin seeds, with a little bitterness coming through in the cleanup. It’s got a little “beaniness” that you get with typical pea proteins so that was a pleasant surprise. As far as mouthfeel is concerned, it’s just ever so slightly gritty & coating. Again, much better than I was expecting. I think if you’re adding this to other products (i.e. a smoothie), I think it would be pretty easy to cover up the taste of this product.
Overall, a pretty solid unflavored plant protein blend. I’ve tasted much worse than this & I’d happily recommend it if you need such a product.

This is such an amazing option to add protein to more foods to get more grams of protein in my diet. I love adding this to baked goods. It doesn’t change the flavor much, if at all, and adds a few grams here and here. Every little bit matters!

The NOW Sports Organic Plant Protein (Unflavored, 1 Pound) is a bag of protein powder made with simple organic ingredients. It is an alternative to the more commonplace soy and dairy protein powders. Consists of pea, pumpkin seed, and hemp, all of which are certified organic. A 1 pound bag has enough for about 14 servings, which isn’t the most economical choice for getting primary protein in but it gets the job done. Taste-wise, it is unflavored so it has a slight earthy slurry taste when taken with just plain water. Mixed with other things like baked goods or coffee and for the most part the flavor gets completely masked. Overall this is a decent bag of protein powder alternative to the usual animal or soy choices.

As I’ve started working out again after dealing with illness for a long time, I’ve been on the lookout for protein powders on my recommended page. ( I didn’t really have any particular ones on my mind, but wanted something from a trustworthy brand).
The reason I ordered this one without hesitation is as follows. First, I’ve tried a good number of supplements from this brand (Now Foods Supplements) and have generally been satisfied with the results. I noticed that the same company makes Now Sports as well, and I’ve built trust in them over the years of using their supplements, as I’ve never had any issues with their supplements before. They are the supplements I go for when I want to try supplements without either spending too much money or sacrificing the quality.
Second, it’s unflavored. I like to add protein powder to my smoothies instead of just mixing it with water, and I often change the fruits and vegetables I use, in turn, flavors. I’ve never been a big fan of flavored protein powders anyway because many I’ve had a chemical taste, so this was perfect for me.
Lastly, it’s also labeled as vegan. While I’m not vegan myself, I don’t mind using or trying vegan products as long as they suit me (as it kinda makes me feel good lol).
I’ve only had this protein powder for about a week, but I’m glad I decided to try it. It hasn’t altered the natural flavors of my smoothies.
Since I just add a scoop or two to the blender with my smoothie, I can’t comment on how well it dissolves if you mix it with water and stir.
In my opinion, trusting the quality of a brand is the most important factor when it comes to anything I put in my body. In that respect, I’m quite satisfied with this protein powder.

It’s a vegan protein powder and the macros are solid but the taste is abysmal (to put it nicely). It says unflavored but it is, in fact, flavored in the sense that if you put this in anything besides a smoothie that is choc full of strongly flavored fruits, you will taste the powdery protein taste (and even in a smoothie with 2 bananas you can still taste the powder tbh). I wouldn’t try this again unless desperate.

I have been adding a scoop of this into my pancake mix to add some protein to them and its great. It doesn’t change the flavor or composition for me. I love using it for baking to amp up my protein and so far it has worked well with my recipes.

This did not taste good! I gave it to my brother, and he ended up saying the same thing! It’s unflavored but has just a weird taste However the ingredients look really good
