I learned about elderberry when I started researching medicinal herbs. I learned about elderberry and ordered the product. I’m happy with the experience of taking a pill a day. Most of all the pills are easy to swallow

When I’m fighting some cold symptoms, I take one of these capsules a day for about five days. (I don’t with very much; about 80lbs) This seems to cut DAYS of the length of time I have cold symptoms.
Sometimes, I can tell I’m fighting some germ because my tonsils swell and my blood sugar gets erratic. I can sometimes avoid the full-blown cold by taking one elderberry capsule a day for two or three days.
I don’t take the elderberry constantly, just when I’m fighting something.
I’m 63, 80lbs, handicapped, and take a lot of Rxs for everything. Elderberry does not conflict with any of my meds, but always check with your pharmacist if you take Rx AND supplements. Your regular pharmacist will know of there is a conflict or can look it up for you.

I bought these as I have long used elderberry syrup to help combat colds. I thought it would be easier than lugging sticky syrup around when I felt a cold coming on. I work with the public, and am constantly exposed. Sure enough, a few weeks ago I started sneezing (I don’t have allergies) and my throat was getting raspy. There had been quite a few people I was in contact with that were obviously sick. Ugh. I started taking the capsules immediately (I don’t mess around) 2 every 4 hours, and when I got home I followed with zinc and vitamin C also every four hours. I was getting worse and by the evening my nose was running, my sinuses were clogged, my throat hurt and I couldn’t stop sneezing. I felt awful. I kept with the regimen , took some night time cold med later when I was too miserable to sleep, and woke up the next morning with my symptoms gone. I mean gone. I was still feeling a bit fatigued, but the head cold was gone. So, this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this, as I said, I’ve always used elderberry SYRUP, zinc,+c in the past, but this was the first time I tried elderberry CAPSULES and they worked just as well.
So I would highly recommend keeping these on hand. Good quality product, excellent price, easy to swallow and they do their job.

There aren’t many supplements which actually do what you’ve read they can do but elderberry sure does! I first heard about it when I got the flu while living in North Carolina. Local residents who lived in the mountains there said to take elderberry and you won’t catch viruses and they were right. I also work in health care and this is what nurses take to stay healthy all winter. Whenever I feel something coming on, feel run down or people around me at work are sick, I take it and I haven’t had the flu since 2001. It also makes me just feel better overall. The NOW brand has the best price, they are easy to take and the quality is great. I work in health care and the nurses in the ED and ICU all take them. I will never be without!
