Since using this Macular Vision supplement, I have noticed improved vision. My eyes focus faster and images/words stay sharp throughout the day.

NOW is one of my favorite go-to brands for dietary supplements and this Macular Vision supplement seems like another winner. It isn’t using the more popular AREDS 2 formula but instead Xanthosight which is a clinically proven formula of lutein, zeaxanthin, and meso-zeaxanthin for eye health support. For what it’s worth, meso-zeaxanthin is not available in the ARED 2 formula.
The softgels are pretty average in size and easy to swallow. I appreciate that the directions are very clear about taking one softgel per day with a fat-containing meal. The formula is more readily absorbed by the body when eaten with a meal that has fat in it.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with this formula. It seems to be helpful and the ingredients are known to help support eye health. This comes in a plastic bottle with a childproof lid. It has a security foil under the lid for your protection. Mine has a best before date of 20 months from now. I’m glad I gave it a try. So for so good.

My wife has been treated for macular degeneration for several years now, managing to keep it from getting worse through the use of recommended supplements and medication. Her retina specialist is well-versed in the disease and she has definitely benefitted from his expertise.
I have been noticing that my vision has been deteriorating consistently for the past 12 months. This could be from sun damage, cataract development, or simply the eyeball changing shape as it ages. A follow-up visit with my opthamologist is on my schedule for next week.
What I have learned is that my wife’s physician has recommended Bausch&Lomb’s Preservision AREDS-2 to keep her eyes healthy. Many of the ingredients in AREDS-2 are included in this NOW Macular Vision formula. These ingredients are included in rations “that have been clinically tested and found to promote eye health, visual performance, and congnitive function”. It also states that it “Promotes optimal visual sharpness and focus”.
The benefits of fish oil have been known for many years. EPA helps lower the risk of heart disease and DHA is required for the maintenance of normal brain function in adults. Zeaxanthin is a carotenoid that helps protect the eyes from harmful effects of oxidation and light induced damage. Living in Southwest Florida demands that you always use eye protection and taking the proper supplements should also help.
Since I am just starting this regimen I can’t testify to any results. After my scheduled eye exam and after taking this supplement for a month I will come back and post my results. In the meantime I will take these under the pretext of “do no harm”.
