This product is exactly as advertised. It’s dextrose, labelled as dextrose. There are no extra smells or funky taste. It’s finely powdered – not that it really matters with dextrose because it is so easily soluble.
If you want to make fructose free candy or power your runs without fructose this is great. Not that I can certify that it’s fructose free, but I take it on faith.
Dextrose is not as sweet as table sugar (because of the fructose being sweeter than glucose – dextrose is composed of glucose only while table sugar is 50/50 fructose glucose). If you are looking to sweeten things with fewer calories this is definitely not what you are looking for.

Good quality product that has no extra weird smells or tastes that shouldn’t be there! I’m very satisfied with this dextrose as I’ve needed an easily absorbable sugar and it is sweet enough for me to use just like table sugar with just a little extra added to make it perfect. I’ll buy again

The ziploc thing on the bag WILL break at some point, so have a clothespin or chip clip or something handy (100% break rate for me so far on multiple bags, with the most recent one breaking on the initial opening, which is simply amazing). I use 2 Tbs in my post-workout shake.

I like that i can have a sweetener that does not cause me problems like fructose. The dextrose mixes easily so I can pretend I am drinking soda, it’s good for baking, cereal, etc. I don’t detect a taste difference than regular sugar, it is slightly different but hardly noticeable. The NOW company has been my favorite after trying a few others. I normally buy it ten pounds or mor at a time since it is the only sweetener I can have. I always have it with me so I can enjoy tea at a restaurant, or anything else I might enjoy sweet. I even can make a simple syrup with it.

Perfect carb source for anyone that lifts heavy weights and needs that glycogen replenishment afterwards! I use 18g (6 servings) after every workout, with protein and creatine and this is just enough to allow the nutrients to flood into my muscles and start the healing/growing process. I tried higher (double) doses like websites and broscience recommends, but it’s just not needed, leaves the stomach feeling “weird”.

Daughter is type 1 Diabetic. Juice works well to correct lows, but this seems to work better and faster with very little, or no headache afterward. We make our own juice boxes in reusable plastic Rubbermaid Juice Box, Litterless, Sipp’N Serve 8.5 Oz / 250 Ml (Pack of 4) using this powder (it is one-to-one carbohydrates to grams of powder), Using a very precise kitchen scale (about $40), per juice box we use 24 grams of powder, 5 oz of water and an ounce or two of lemon juice to taste. The powder dissolves very well and stays suspended, does not settle to the bottom of the juice box. You can get a box of 40 replacement straws for the juice boxes. Don’t put the straws in the dishwasher, they get on the heating element.
I wish this dextrose was certified organic, but until it is, this will do very nicely. it works.

I bought 5 bags of this and I typically dissolve 15g of this in water in the AM before I exercise and I think this helps me with some “instant energy” rather than trying to exercise on an empty stomach where also I have fasted for several hours (anywhere from 12 to 36 hours) prior to exercising. Anything that encourages me to do these exercises in my opinion is worth the money and this isn’t actually expensive anyway.
I also use this occasionally in my baking bread as yeast preferentially metabolize glucose (dextrose) if that is available and so if I want to really get the yeast going, I add 30-45g of this to my bread recipe instead of sucrose (table sugar) or other sweeteners though I vary quite a bit in my use of sweeteners just the same.
This is well packaged, the closure works well, and I have had no quality issues of any kind with this product. I also have used Now products for their erythritol and stevia extract and have been happy with their products.

I normally dont write reviews unless it exceeds my expectations and this product did. The taste is delicious. The texture is like a pixy stick candy texture which I LOOOVVE ANND the amount per package, WOW. Only bad thing is the physical package said 7g of sugar but on Amazon it was 3g. False advertising? But the bag is enormous. Two packages will last a long time. Thank you for a wonderful product.

My son is a type one diabetic and this dissolves easily into a small amount of water. It treats low blood sugars quickly.
