I was very glad to find a low dose CoQ10. Since neither my husband nor I are on statin drugs anymore we do not need high powered CoQ10. I like having a large quantity so we don’t have to buy it as often.

I first read about CoQ10 in 1997 and the study was showing the good effects of it upon the heart and its antiviral properties. I was getting bad colds and flu viruses every month so decided I would give it a try – within 6 mo.s at 30mg per day I stopped getting sick! So, then I talked my husband into trying it for his enlarged heart He had just had an x-ray taken showing it about the size of a small football. He agreed and 8 mo.s later when the doctors retook the x-ray, his heart was back to almost normal size. We told the doctor about my husband taking the NOW CoQ10 30 mg. but he would not accept that it was the reason for the heart’s change in size or normal blood pressure! I have used NOW brand of supplements for almost 20 years. When I first began using CoQ10 I tried another brand because it was less expensive, and within a month I got sick again which had not happened at all while taking the NOW brand. I then learned that supplements, since not regulated by the FDA, can be vastly different in the actual ingredients within the capsules/tablets than what is written on the labels, that many of the cheaper brands were not putting in all of the main ingredient thus lining their pockets with your money!! The study done revealed that the supplemental companies that show on their labels a control lab endorsement, meaning that either they themselves or an outside lab does periodic control testing to make sure that their products do contain what the label state they do, and the NOW brand was one of those companies that did and continue to do so.
