The more I study zinc the more I think that we are deficient. And this is a great brand and it’s fermented so it’s not too hard on your belly but it is a little bit.

I bought this on the prime day sale and I have to say this stuff is insane on how well this works. My 3 year old son got severely sick with Flu A strain and we’ve been in and out of the hospital for the past week and I haven’t even gotten sick at all!! I was able to take care of my baby without getting sick and I’m so thankful since flu A is super aggressive and highly contagious I’m shocked how I haven’t gotten it and I was terrified if I got it too how hard it would be to take care of both of us since I am a single mom. Prior to taking this I’d contract everything my son would bring home from daycare but I haven’t gotten sick since taking this. I wish my son was old enough to take this. I highly recommend if you have little ones and I wish I could literally give the manufacturer a hug for making this stuff. 10/10 recommend!!!

I wish that I could write 2 reviews; one for me and one for my grandson.
My 9 year old grandson has [change that to had] times when he just chews on everything – whatever is in his hand or whatever he can get to: a toy, a pencil, a shirt sleeve, a straw – anything he can get in his mouth. When he finished eating dinner he chewed on his fork! I saw something on TV about people who have a need to eat strange things like clay or dirt or mud and a link to vitamin deficiencies. So I researched and found that a deficiency in zinc can cause the need to chew.
I take zinc to help combat lupus problems and I know zinc can have side effects. My daughter (his mom) and I were more concerned about side effects for his height and weight so she researched on Amazon and found this more natural, food based, zinc supplement that we decided would be safer. I ordered it and had it shipped to his house. We didn’t tell him it was any different than his regular multiple vitamin (no placebo affect possible here). The difference was like – wow! He started chewing on stuff less and after just a few days was only chewing on food and only at meal times. We were no longer finding ourselves telling him to get things out of his mouth (he is a happier kid not being fussed at all of the time, too). When the bottle of zinc ran out, he started the chewing stuff again. His mom thought she would save money and she bought some zinc at the drugstore. The chewing just continued like he was taking nothing. So she ordered from Amazon what I had gotten originally and presto – he is a different kid. It is worth it now to have regular delivery from Amazon. Yeah, no more holes in those shirt sleeves.
Now if your child or grandchild is chewing, I am not recommending that you go out and get zinc. Zinc does often have side effects like upset stomach (we haven’t had that problem with this brand). As a parent and grandparent I would caution anyone to ask a pediatrician first if there are any doubts. What I am saying is that if you get zinc for yourself or someone you care about, this product is better than what you get at a drugstore and I think it is worth paying the higher costs. Here it holds true – you get what you pay for.
I probably am more comfortable giving my grandson zinc supplements because I take zinc. I have lupus and occasionally have flairs that cause hair to fall out, mouth and skin ulcers to develop, butterfly rash … that we have linked to times when I take vitamins with less zinc.So I added zinc supplements to my regular multivitamin. I still have flairs, my hair still falls out but I have not had any mouth ulcers while on the zinc. I am much more confident in this product because of its base of natural foods. After seeing the difference in my grandson, I take this zinc instead of the cheap stuff from the drugstore or Walmart. I’m worth it 🙂

I appreciate this brand because it is easy to digest. I have had difficulty taking zinc in the past because it tends to make me nauseous and even causes vomiting. However, these vitamins are easily absorbed, allowing me to take them throughout the day without any issues. Typically, I would only take zinc at night to avoid feeling sick, but with these, I can take them anytime. This is currently my favorite product on the market for zinc supplementation.

I have a Zinc deficiency so I have to take these tablets daily for the rest of my life. The exact name of this disorder is called Acrodermatitis Enteropathica and it’s a genetic autoimmune disorder that affects very few people and requires very specific genetics to line up. I spent my whole life taking other forms of Zinc pills which only caused major nausea and stomach discomfort as Zinc is very heavy and hard on the stomach, especially taken on an empty stomach. I was searching for a Zinc supplement that was designed to work properly in increasing zinc levels, but not cause nausea as others do. Previously I had to eat a large amount of food before taking my Zinc to avoid the metal stomach nausea but with this product I don’t have to eat at all. Because I have to take such a large quantity per day due to my zinc deficiency, I can’t always be sure I have such a large amount of food through the day. This product has been a life changer and saved for me. I can’t not take zinc unless I want to get sick (as my body doesn’t absorb zinc on its own I have to supplement — that’s what the disorder is) . This product has never caused nausea and as a result I can take my full daily dose instead of dreading having to take it in fear that I haven’t eaten enough food so to avoid nausea. With other Zinc products you must have a very full stomach to avoid nausea. It’s a very awful disorder, nothing can be done, only option is to supplement daily on your own with Zinc – specifically; take 1mg per your weight of Zinc a day (so if you’re 150 pounds, you need to take 150mgs of Zinc per day)- that’s if you have this disorder. Others take it for other reasons in less quantities. There are other forms of Zinc deficiency (which can be inherited in adulthood like from severe alcoholic use, as alcohol eats up Zinc in the body). I was born with this, so long as I take Zinc daily, I’m okay and living normally. But if I miss a entire week or more of Zinc – the symptoms begin to appear. But as long as I take it again, it goes into remission. The symptoms include dermatitis, scaly patches of itchy rash on extremities (Enteropathica means extremities like legs, feet, arms, head, scalp, etc) and some other symptoms include mouth soars. It’s very painful when your body is very low on Zinc. I realize this is a review of this product which I consider a huge part of my ability to maintain proper Zinc levels. But I am also sharing info on this Zinc disorder for those who may need to know more about it, as the disorder is rare. I hope this info finds someone who’s been running from doctor to doctor to get help for their child who has zinc deficiency (it begins to show itself a few weeks after the child is born or weaned off mothers milk (breast milk has Zinc & symptoms won’t show up on the baby until breast milk is weaned). For those taking it for other reasons, it’s highly effective. I have a zinc deficiency from birth, and if it didn’t work, the symptoms that come out when my zinc levels are low would be seen. That’s why I know this is getting into my body properly, quickly, and I find myself not even taking as much as I use to with other zinc products because this is so accurate. Only thing that would be devastating for me is if New Chapter stops making it. I can’t go back to other zinc supplements! I’ve tried everything in my lifetime.
