I’m not a doctor, nutritionist or health professional in any way shape or form, nor do I have the ability or expertise to examine the contents of this product. The only thing I know is that I’ve been using it for a long time and since I started my good cholesterol has gone up and remained stable ever since I started. My HDL has always been below normal or recommended levels until I started taking this product. No taste or nasty flavor or after taste so that’s a plus too. The supplements are in a similar type of dissolving plastic commonly scene in pills, vitamins and supplements so if you’re concerned about micro plastics you might want to be aware of that.

We have purchased this item multiple times over the past few years. The last few orders have leaked for whatever reason. They arrive covered in oil and then clump together as it dissolves the gel caps. If you can get them apart the fishy taste will gag you, it is almost unbearable. Due to the price of the product we feel forced to finish the bottle, but it is by no means a pleasant experience.

My eye doc recommended 2 of these per day for dry eye and it works fantastic. I refrigerate mine, keeps them from getting to fishy smelling.

This company has a serious problem with quality control…. and I’m not the first to complain about this. The capsules are all stuck together in a hard ball inside the plastic jar. It’s impossible to get some of them out without tearing the capsules, which turns the entire jar into a smelly, oily mess. I ignored another customer’s warning and bought them again. What a waste! I’m going to find another product.

Well, it finally happened. I lost my patience with Nordic Naturals. Been ordering the Omega 3 capsules for the past decade or so, the last year as part of a subscribe and save via Amazon. Unfortunately the last couple of orders have had broken capsules, which meant I’m out about $300 as I was only able to save less than half of the content. The return policy is really killing this brand and as many others have complained, the broken capsules seems to be a very common problem that has popped up in the last couple of years. Maybe a manufacturing issue…? Anyway, back to the drawing board finding another brand.

After being contacted by Nordic Naturals Customer Support, I am updating my review. Nordic Naturals Customer Support are great and to be honest, their good work definitely retained me as a customer. They explained that some shipments might become exposed to heat, which can make some of the capsuled break during transit. They offered me a full refund on my order. I really appreciate the time the customer service representative took in explaining the root cause of the issue and that they were willing to work with me to come to a resolution.
