For some strange reason topical collagen does not agree with me (regardless of brand), so this seemed like a good alternative for me. The powder is incredibly fine & never clumped up on me. I mix it into my smoothies & it completely disappears, there is no discernible change in taste either. I think the scoops are bit big to mix into plain water, but it does dissolve well.
This is such an easy upgrade for me, I can now get the benefits of collagen BOTH internally & externally. It’s super easy to just toss a scoop in & I have no negative side effects! Plus, it’s definitely more cost effective than some of the “beauty” products I was using prior. Having said that, this particular item does seem to be priced high- it’s currently $49.99. The vast majority of collagen peptide powders I’ve come across, in similar quantities & even specifically bovine, seem to be less than HALF the price. Perhaps there’s a reason that justifies the discrepancy, maybe this product has something the others don’t, but I wasn’t able to ascertain what that is. If that is the case, I think the company needs to be clear about what sets them apart or why their product comes at a premium.

This is a great option to add some collagen to your supplements! I used it on and off and do think it made my hair and nails stronger and grow a bit faster. The most important part to me beside effectiveness was the flavor. I was hoping to be able to add this to plain water but ended up having to add some flavoring. There wasn’t much of a taste, but a slight protein powder feel. Once I added flavoring I didn’t notice anything at all. Mixing it in water can take some time, I recommend room temperature water and an electric drink whisk, then adding ice afterwards. Definitely a great option!

This is a nice product with good ingredients. Its tasteless as advertised and i would recommend it as its a good supplement to take for many reasons and is easy to incorporate into my diet. I would buy again especially if the price improves.

Dissolves well, therefore easy to take. It’s simply bovine collagen. Which is good but, from what I read, not as readily absorbable as other collagen sources.
It’s strange to me that it is “dairy-free”, considering that it comes from a cow. I suppose it’s not a traditional dairy product that will trigger the associated allergic response. But still seems funny.
The servings per container seems to be very low when compared with other brands. I am more likely to purchase a larger supply at this price point.

Nooro Collagen Peptides came in a 30 serving container with 10 g of bovine collagen equal to 10 g of protein. Each 10 g serving also contains 15 mg of sodium and is a mere 40 calories.
The product like most collagen powder is unflavored. However, also like most collagen powder it still has a strange, mildly unpleasant taste, so mixing it with something other than plain water in recommended. It did mix well and dissolved fully when stirred in a liquid.
I have used bovine collagen regularly for some time now, mixing it with flavored liquids or amino powders as an occasional substitute for whey protein and when I need to reach my daily protein goal without exceeding my daily calorie total. It is thus a good option for protein intake during a cutting or calorie reduction phase.
The only drawback to this particular brand is at the current price point it is quite a bit for what is only a one month’s supply by an unknown manufacturer that claims to be made in the U.S. but has a foreign address and partly uses foreign ingredients. These facts must be factored into the rating.

msot collagen peptide powders i’ve tried in the past were flavored and I have not used an unflavored version before. this supplement is perfect for mixing in many drinks including milkshakes, smoothies, juice, etc…. it is pretty much universal and mixes fairly well. this powder is paleo.keto, does not contain any added sugars, dairy free for those that are lactose, and mixes in both hot and cold drinks. please note that this powder mixes better in hot drinks and takes a little more time to mix in cold drinks. it’s a plus that this powder is FDA and NSF certified which gives you some piece of mind.

nooro US (like neuro) is based in Chicago and they manufacture some pain relief massagers and some nutritionals. They do seem to make quality products and this collagen powder does also seem to be a quality product. Dissolves easily into the hot coffee and doesn’t discernably affect the taste. The price is the high end of mid-range for products of this type.

Collagen peptides are a regular part of my supplement regime, so I tend to look for certain things.
The first thing I look at is whether or not it mixes well in room temperature water. This indicates the collagen is easily absorbed by the body. If after stirring, you’re left with large clumps, this would raise a concern for me This product actually dissolves instantly in water without even stirring it first. This is a good sign, but after searching both the product’s label and the product listing, I can find no information on whether or not it’s hydrolyzed. This is my first disappointment. And what kind of collagen is it – bovine? Marine? Not sure.
Next, I also always look for the collagen ‘type.’ Usually collagens clearly mark whether it’s Type I, II, III, X, etc., but this one has no mention of the collagen type at all, which is a red flag for me.
Finally, I look at the price. This product is priced higher than other well-known brands, so I would expect full disclosure of the collagen specs, not just promises of benefits.
With full disclosure, I would probably rate this product higher, but without this information, I cannot. As a supplement consumer, I should never have to guess or hunt for product information.
