I happen to own the very popular lip mask. In a simple test, I was surprised to find that this lip mask made my lips feel more hydrated. It’s also more shiny and the texture is not as firm. I like the scent too.

This overnight lip mask does what it’s suppose to. I’ve tried plenty of lip masks and they don’t make a huge difference to my lips. It’s suggested to dab some on right before you go to bed. There wasn’t any left on my lips in the AM, and just to be sure, I checked my pillow to make sure none came off on it lol, but there wasn’t any.
It moisturizes lips and makes them even softer over time, but I did notice a difference after one night, so I’m eager to continue using. The consistency is nice, and does not feel super thick and greasy on, it also has some exfoliating beads in it, but not a lot. It has a great pink champagne/strawberry? scent that I love. It’s good for 12 months after opening.

I received this lip mask in my fabfitfun subrscriotion box and it’s terrible! I’m not sure how there are any positive reviews. It’s super oily and evaporates almost instantly after applying it. After it’s evaporated, your lips are left dryer than before applying, and painful. It’s literally making my lips worse. I have had peeling and cracking I never had before. The worst!!! Just go buy Laniege, it tastes better, lasts, and actually works

This is a small container of pink champagne overnight lip mask. It smells okay, but it has a weird taste on your lips. The mask is pink and once you stick your finger in to get some, be careful because your finger will go straight down. It’s a really soft balm so you can easily get too much. Once I pulled my finger out, you could see the oily/greasiness in in. Once I put it on my lips, it doesn’t give that good hydration feel. It just makes my lips feel oily and chapped. Overall, this isn’t my favorite overnight lip mask and it’s a little pricey for what it is.

The Birthday Cake lip mask is fantastic! I apply at night and wake up with moisturized, soft lips. I’ve had the container for at least 4 months and have plenty left. The price is steep but using it once a day is all that’s needed and it lasts! I’ll be asking for a new container for Christmas for sure!

I absolutely love this lip mask. It is a very soft consistency. It feels incredibly moisturizing and helped moisturize my chapped lips. It has kind of a strong scent of berries but I think it smells really nice. This really feels very hydrating. This has amazing ingredients in it. I would recommend this lip mask.

I think out of the gate, this scent/flavor situation isn’t my jam. I don’t know how I’d describe it, it kind of reminds me of fruit scented dolls from when I was a kid? Like that super artificial plastic vibe that is super not my thing. The scent is fairly strong, and considering you place it right under your nose, not the best.
After that though, the formulation on this is pretty nice. I’ve tried a lot of lip sleeping masks and texture-wise this is on par with some of the better ones I’ve tried. Others do run thicker, and some seal in moisture better, though I think for the price it’s a pretty solid performer. I like the ingredient profile, it’s been pretty effective. I really wish that these companies would move to tube or measured pumps for these, the tub of product that has a high chance of expiring before I can use it isn’t my fav thing either.
I feel like I’d want to rate this 3.5 but I know my bias here for the scent is doing a number on me. I’d say worth a shot if there is a scent profile you know or at least strongly suspect you’d love.
