My partner has HIV, and a friend of our’s (who also has HIV) recommended taking the Reishi mushroom (a.k.a. Ganoderma Lucidum), which is widely reputed in Asia to strengthen the immune system. Our friend said that it gave him energy and improved his appetite. (He uses several of the Organo Gold products)
We looked on Amazon, and found this affordably priced product, which apparently contains the same active ingredient as the Organo Gold products (Reishi mushroom). Much to our surprise and delight, within 30 days of taking this, my partner ALSO began to feel MUCH more energetic, and his appetite increased as well! He is looking and feeling MUCH healthier, and is finally starting to gain weight and muscle-tone! (which is very difficult for someone with HIV).
We also tried the much more expensive “Duanwood Reishi” (Ron Teeguarden’s Dragon Herbs Duanwood Reishi), but my partner said he didn’t notice feeling any different when taking that one vs. taking the Nature’s Way product (both make him feel great), so now he is back to taking this product which is much more affordably priced.
I’m not a doctor, and I don’t know WHY or HOW this works, but it does seem to have made a SIGNIFICANT improvement in my partner’s health! Consequently, I would heartily recommend for anyone who is immunocompromised to give this a try! Even if the benefits are just psycho-somatic (which I don’t believe), what does it hurt?
Note: you are supposed to take TWO of these TWICE per day, so purchase accordingly. My partner actually takes half that dose, since he is already taking so many other medicines. We don’t want to strain his kidneys any more than we already are. We now have a “subscription” set up with Amazon to automatically send 2 bottles every 3 months, which works out just about right. (with about 20 capsules left over at the end of the 3 months, assuming he doesn’t miss any doses)
UPDATE: After over 4 months of taking the Reishi mushroom, my partner just got his bloodwork done, and discovered that his T-Cells, which have been hovering between 0 and 200 for the last 10 years, are now over 400!! This would seem to confirm that the benefits of Reishi are NOT just psycho-somatic! He is still feeling great, and is continuing to gain muscle mass, due to the fact that all the extra energy he has had lately prompted him to start working out regularly again! We are both very pleased with these results obviously, and can only attribute it to the Reishi mushroom, since that is the only thing that has changed in his regimen for the last 10 years. I am not affiliated with this company, and don’t care which brand of product you use, but if you have HIV, you should definitely give Reishi Mushroom a try! (BTW, my partner’s doctor, who we checked with before he started taking this, said that Reishi is fine to take and doesn’t interfere with any of his HIV meds. He warned however, to stay away from any products that contain Ginseng, as some problems HAVE been reported by some people taking Ginseng and certain HIV meds)

I took this for PCOS. A hormone disorder. Here were my results:

Unintended results:

I’ve had previous experience with Ganoderma Lucidium that has improved my all around health. So far, Asian countries especially Japan treasure this as gold. In the ancient days in China and Japan, only royalty was able to access it and consume it. Up till Organo Gold obtained sellers rights to sell in Japan the only way anyone could get ganoderma aka “reishi mushroom” was through a prescription from a licensed doctor.
Its health improvements are amazing, and it provides individually. Everyone’s body is different, no one immune system is the same and what the reishi does is reset your body to where it is supposed to be, and gives your body the push that it needs. It primarily oxygenates your bloodstream, gives your heart, lungs, and body the extra oxygen it needs. Its also an all natural blood thinner, so those on specific blood clotting medication, consult our doctor. However, it also resets your digestive system so some might experience some extra trips to the restroom as reishi will naturally flush out your system as a whole including your colon. Reishi also provides all natural vigor, and by doing so provides improved quality of sleep and alleviates anxiety, depression, stress, and panic attacks. While taking this product make sure you drink plenty of water as it supports the all natural cleanse that ti does provide. Reishi is also known to fight off cancerous cells and improve life quality, its not a cure but it will improve you from the inside out. This is definately a product that I will be taking for life, and for the price paid I’m a life time subscriber.
FYI: This product from this particular seller is better in quality and way more affordable than Organo Gold, don’t be fooled by their quality and manufacture production. I was a previous distributor and overspent a ton of money on their products when this product offers more quality per pill and bottle and still pay much less in a bulk shipment including shipping versus one bottle of theirs. For 100 pills at 10% of the reishi per pill at $7 per bottle versus 5% of the reishi per pill with 90 pills per bottle at $60-$80 per bottle plus shipping.
