I just want to say that perhaps this product works well for some people but I have had digestion problems all my life due to low stomach acid and this product was not what I hoped it would be to relieve my particular symptoms. Granted I am older, I eat too fast and should stay away from hot sauce and coffee. The Vitamin Shoppe used to sell a product that worked great for me, it was their brand name HCL Betaine. Unfortunately, they changed it, diluted the strength and kept it at the same price. This kind of marketing I feel is unfair and undercutting to the consumer and because of this I will probably never buy anything else from the Vitamin Shoppe.

I wouldn’t go one day without this product, which greatly helps digestion.

I use a capsule form most of the time, but tried these when I couldn’t get my regular brand, and discovered that they are compressed tablets. Swallow it quickly, don’t let this tablet linger in your mouth, because they will start dissolving into acid. They are also a bit stronger HCL than the capsules I usually take, but I can use these for a large buffet meal. Works and is certainly strong enough.

Works well in combating my heartburn. Through trial and error I take 3 pills before eating and I have no symptoms of heartburn after eating. Will always be a staple in my house.
