I want to start out by commending the manufacturer for including information on their third-party testing, specifying that it passed tests for various heavy metals and other contaminants. This is very rare and speaks to their intention to be transparent.
Unfortunately, the products name, ingredient mix and labeling is confusing and misleading.
The product includes a large mix of ingredients, several of which are “fairy-dusted” at ineffective dosages just so they can be included on the label – in the hope that it will sell better. For example, the amount of fisetin (5mg) stated on the label here on the product page certainly won’t do much.
But the product is also mislabeled, and the ingredients on the product I received are different than the ones listed here:
This product page lists NAD+, resveratrol, and hyaluronic acid. But the label reveals mostly NAD, grape seed, and turmeric, with a little bit of resveratrol, quercetin, and so forth. Why they would mix together so many ingredients in such small amounts is anyone’s guess, but the best products typically avoid this kind of ineffective shotgun approach.
The product I received has the exact same title, but lists 350mg each of fisetin (great!), grape seed, and turmeric, with just 100 mg of NAD. The hyaluronic acid is just fairy-dusted.
Because the product name is the same, I am going to assume that this is an updated version of the product, not a mislabel where I received the wrong product, and I personally like this version better for the fisetin, which is in the recommended range of 100-500 mg. However, there is
Nevertheless, the labeling is confusing, to say the least, and it creates a misleading impression that you get 1500mg NAD+ per serving. The reality is that you get just 100mg (this is at or below the bottom end of what’s commonly recommended), when the main ingredient arguably is fisetin.
Also noteworthy: The product comes with some harmless but unnecessary fillers.
In sum, it’s difficult to recommend such a confusingly conceptualized and labeled product, despite the apparent care taken with the ingredients and the unexpected amount of fisetin I received.
