I originally started taking these in preparation for Lasik, but I’m sure I’ll keep taking them for as long as I can! My doctor specifically recommended this brand, and I can definitely say he was right! There was an adjustment period, and it was a little rough on my gut. But after 3-4 weeks, those side effects had gone away. Besides helping with dry eye, these things have been amazing for my hair and nails! I lost a ton of hair a few years ago due to hormonal meds I had to take for endometriosis management. The front of my hairline seems to have quite a lot of new growth after just shy of a couple months of taking these! Also, my nails are already very strong naturally, but within the last couple of weeks, they’ve seemed practically unbreakable. Even after smacking one nail really hard multiple times, AND accidentally cutting/shaving off a bit of the the top layer of the end of the same nail! It’s actually kind of unbelievable!
My mom also started taking these maybe a week after I did. She’d taken something similar when she had her Lasik done 15 or so years ago and figured it might be a good idea to start them up again. They’ve helped her dry eye quite a bit! But the most impressive thing is how strong these have made her nails! She’s had a really terrible time with her nails breaking and splitting really far up for a couple of years now. All of the sudden, she’s noticed that she’s actually having to file her nails because they’re getting longer than she’s used to. She hasn’t had to do that in ages! I will say that she also had to adjust to them, and had the same GI side effects I did. They also went away in about the same time frame, if not faster for her.
