One of my only gripes about taking fish oil supplements is they generally have an unpleasant flavor/smell, thankfully this is not one of those brands (unless you take a whiff directly from the bottle of course). The gels, while large, are still very easy to swallow because of the shape and smoothness. Very solid fish oil supplement from a reputable brand at a reasonable price, would definitely recommend.
Thanks for All the Fish –
Nature Made Fish Oil came in a 300-count bottle and with two softgels daily, will last one about five months. Each serving contains 2400 mg of fish oil and omega-3 and is 35 calories with 3 g of fat and 25 mg of cholesterol. This is going by the ingredients label on the back as the front panel claims a different amount of fish oil at 1200 mg. This is obviously the percentage of only one softgel, but since two are recommended, I’m not sure why the discrepancy.
The capsules had only a slight fishy scent to them and they were sized for ease of swallowing. They didn’t cause me to suffer from the “fishy burp” aftertaste as some fish oil products have. Since they are meant to be swallowed whole, the “flavor” rating is kind of meaningless.
I also question the rating choice of “pain relief”, since I’ve been taking fish oil for years and I’ve never heard it touted for that. Of course, even if that was the case, as a reviewer I’m not permitted to confirm or deny the health benefits of a product, as it is apparently considered dispensing medical advice.
Therefore, all I can say is fish oil has worked for me in the past and have also taken many other Nature Made products with good results. Unlike similar products I’ve tried, I like that this is coming from a well-known and trusted brand that takes care to minimize harmful mercury that may be present in other fish oil supplements. With a generous size it also has an excellent cost to value ratio and I highly recommend this fish oil supplement.

These are large but being gel tabs they are easy to swallow. Label is a bit misleading in that you need to take two of these to get the amount indicated.

The pills are rather large and hard to swallow. I’m not quite sure why they are so large or why the serving size is 2. All the other ones I’ve had is only 1 a day and have less mgs. It comes from a trusted company, third party tested, from sustainable fisheries, and purified to move mercury so that’s nice. Having bulk is great if you have the room for it.

Having been taking a similar product for a while. Got this and am happy with the product.
Capsules are good quality and easy to swallow. They are on the larger size but by no means too large to deal with. Very little smell to deal with.
I am part through this, and it works like any other I have taken. This is a good value for the cost when you factor in the cost and the quantity/doses in the bottle.
I will be purchasing more of this product.

I like that these fish oil softgels come from a trusted brand. The capsules themselves are on the large size, but I am able to swallow them okay, although I often eat something right afterwards to help them work their way down quickly. I appreciate that they do not have a strong fishy smell/taste unlike some brands. For the size of these, I do wish one capsule per day was a serving size. In case you’re wondering, the A-Z guide included is literally just a pamphlet describing benefits of different minerals/vitamins.

Nature Made Fish Oil 1200 mg Softgels are a good source of Omega 3. The pills are a little large. They can be a bit difficult to swallow, but thankfully the fact that they’re gel caps helps. You have to take 2 to get your daily dose. I appreciate that Nature Made filters out the mercury. I haven’t experienced negatives like fishy burps or heart burn. As usual, a good quality product from Nature Made.

These are OK but not great as a source of Omega 3’s.
Pros:
1) Large quantity of capsules in this HUGE bottle.
2) Third Party Tested.
3) Supposedly they have a way of reducing the mercury content–so that’s good!
4) They are easy enough to swallow (although large) and no fishy smell or taste detected.
Cons:
1) I’m disappointed in the amount of actual Omega 3’s (EPA and DHA) that you get in these fish oil capsules. 2 capsules contain a total of just 720 mg of the omega 3’s , and then is says “DHA and EPA–600 mg” (in 2 capsules.) That’s not a very good dose compared to other brands I have tried.
2) I also really did NOT like that they do not break down the label further to specifically state how many mg of DHA versus EPA each capsule contains. Usually, this info is provided.
So, I wont be ordering these again.
