I have purchased this twice. First one I loved and the aroma lasted until the soap was gone! So I was excited to order the second bar. So disappointed, when I took out of box I noticed there was no smell to the soap. So I thought maybe I need to get it wet. Nope. Very stale. Disappointed

I’ve tried several patchouli bar soaps and this one is my favorite. The patchouli scent is by far the best I’ve experienced so far. I love the fact that this is all natural and actually good for my skin. The scrubbing poppy seeds are nice too, just don’t scrub too hard. Like all cold processed soaps I’ve used so far, they don’t last as long as traditional bars of soap. Try to keep it in a tray that elevates it up so it doesn’t rest in water, this will help extend its life.

I gave this bar a try and was struck by the spiciness of the scent. I think this is the closest I’ve come to Burt’s Bees bay rum scent that I miss. There’s a very strong scent of spicy clove up front that fades into very present earthy patchouli that lasts pretty much all day. But not in an offensive fill the room kind of way. Just a warning that the exfoliating grains in the bar are very scratchy. So if that’s something you won’t like, I suggest the orange patchouli which is much lighter when it comes to exfoliating grains.

I purchased this for my husband’s stocking and he loved it. Will be purchasing more in the future. The patchouli scent was definitely there, it was exfoliating and it lasted for awhile and didn’t dissolve super fast. I would recommend if you or your loved one is a patchouli fan like mine.
