I am a regular lip scrubber. This lip scrub looks and smells like a typical lip scrub, but it’s lacking in the scrubbing factor. It was a fine lip scrub, but just isn’t a 5 star lip scrub. It feels like the mix was off and mine has significantly more liquid than scrubby bits, they’re very few and far between. The mixture is very moisturizing and super gentle, so this would be a great entry into lip scrub for someone who hasn’t tried it before.

This lip scrub is okay at best. I do not feel that it is very effective, it does help a little to moisturize but if you are suffering from chapped lips, this is not going to get rid of the dead skin as well as many other products on the market. It will also not keep your lips hydrated or moisturized for a long time. It has a good flavor and scent but I just feel there are much better products available even at a similar price point. Not recommended.

This barely has anything in it to exfoliate. It’s a sugar scrub, but it dissolves immediately, and I had to keep getting more product. It smells like a vanilla cupcake, and it is moisturizing, but it isn’t a great exfoliant. The texture is like 90% jelly and 10% sugar granules. Definitely need to change the recipe for $16.

This arrives in a nice little box that keep the lip scrub well protected on its journey. Remove the little tub of lip scrub and give that box to the recycler.
Now, this isn’t one of those lip scrubs that you have to chip away at just to get a small piece. Instead, it is very easy to access with a single swipe. Now, I might want more crystals than this has, but it still did a really good job at exfoliating my lips. And, I really like tubes or “lipstick” versions of scrubs (because they are so much easier to use), but I also understand how some men could be put off by the optics of those: therefore, this jar will do.
The jar is an excellent size considering how little you use to get the maximum effect.
Overall, I like this product and will keep using it. It primed my lips for a fabulous ombre design, making them look smooth and gorgeous. Works for me!

I’ve never used a lip scrub before so this was my first one, first time and first try so can’t really compare against another product. However, I really luv this scrub, it smells really nice and so far it’s really made my lips soft and moisturized.
A little goes a long way with this scrub and with such a little jar, you definitely need to make the most of making it last a long time, especially for the price.
I do use it three times a week at night after brushing my teeth. I don’t have that many lines on my lips just yet but hopefully this scrub will help prevent that.
The scent is so lovely and luv how it makes my lips soft and moisturized, definitely highly recommend!

I received the NassifMD Lip Sugar Scrub. First, this product is not a softening cream or a lip mask with serum. It is an exfoliant to remove the dry cracked skin from your lips. It has a slight vanilla scent but don’t lick it. It doesn’t taste good. Apply just a little to your finger and rub over your lips. You will feel the grainy texture of the sugar and silica. Then rinse with a wet cloth. It does a good job of removing that dry winter lip skin. Lips feel softer and smoother after using it. I did use a lip balm afterwards.
If you have dry, cracked winter lips, give this product a try. Soft lips are more kissable!

The texture of the lip scrub is like a whipped Vaseline with sugar crystals in it. You only need a very small amount to do the exfoliation on the lips. It is as gentle as you let it be. The harder I push while scrubbing, the more rough it feels. But even if I scrub gently, it removes the dead layers on my lips.
After I rinse it off, my lips already feel hydrated. With other scrubs that I’ve used in the past, I do feel the need to apply an oil or a balm to help with hydration. It has a subtle sweet smell, kind of like vanilla, but it doesn’t have a flavor.

If you’re unfamiliar with Dr. Nassif, he is on the show Botched, which is where a bunch of people who have messed up plastic surgery go to make it better/healthier in certain situations. Anyway, I had high expectations for this product because I’ve seen the show many times and his skin care line has been out for a while.
The pros:
It’s a gentle exfoliator
It’s a light vanilla scent that isn’t too overpowering.
It really does work as its supposed to, if you spend the time to massage it in circular motions on your lips.
The Cons:
It is basically vaseline with sugar in it
You can make your own sugar scrub at home
The amount you receive is paltry considering the amount you’re paying
If you rinse it off in the shower, it will leave an oily residue down your chin
All in all, it’s not a terrible product per se, I just think I expected more from it. I expected it to be more oil based than a vaseline type consistency.
