Now, we all know, supplements are impossible to review in terms of their effectiveness… But as far as the quality of the product itself, it arrived perfectly. There is no bad taste or smell to these pills, thankfully, and they are pretty easy to swallow, in my experience, which I definitely appreciate. Softgels are usually a win for me. The reality of this supplement is that it claims to provide an incredibly powerful dose of Astaxanthin and CoQ10, so if that’s something you’re looking for, I do recommend these. That being said, the price point is incredibly high, so this is not something I will be taking on an everyday basis (just for my wallet’s sake), but otherwise, it’s a good product. I haven’t noticed any side effects whatsoever. Most important thing to note is that these are NOT vegan supplements, so if that’s something that’s important to you, search for a different alternative.

This is a great astaxanthin + coq10 supplement. Astaxanthin is one of my favorite supplements. It’s been shown to have such a wide range of health benefits, everything from reducing wrinkles to improving memory and reducing depression.

    — The formulation:
*12mg Astaxanthin – (high dose of astaxanthin, 12mg is the amount typically used in clinical trials and the most effective dosage for skin, vision, and brain benefits)
*200mg Coq10 – (Fairly high dose of coq10, 200mg is plenty to get the cardiovascular benefits Coq10 has to offer, and should have some energy boosting effects and help regulate blood pressure.

The astaxanthin used in this supplement is natural astaxanthin, which is the best kind. It’s algae derived, from haematococcus pluvialis.

Overall – this is an excellent astaxanthin + coq10 supplement. It would only be better if they used a trademarked form of astaxanthin like AstaReal or AstaPure – because I consider those to be the highest quality astaxanthin available.

**Tip: Take astaxanthin (and coq10) with your biggest meal of the day. Both are fat soluble, and they will absorb much better if you take them with food!

I normally take 12mg Astaxanthin & 200-400mg CoQ10 daily so it’s nice that I can combine these into one tiny softgel. However, I would be more likely to repurchase this if the price was more competitive. This item costs a whopping $1.50 per day. My 12mg Astaxanthin costs 28 cents per day. Now, I’ll admit the CoQ10 I normally buy is very expensive – it’s $1.80 per day but it’s one with 200mg Kaneka ubiquinol + 20mg PQQ + 200mg shilajit, it’s not an equivalent product at all (and then I often also take 200mg CoQ10 gummies as well). You can easily find 200mg of plain ubiquinone for 10 cents per day. So I don’t understand the pricing of this product at all.

But just looking at this product’s merits without taking pricing into account, I have had no issues with side effects and the pill is easy to take.

I’ve been taking 12mg astaxanthin for a few years without any problems. I don’t eat seafood, so I take astaxanthin, fish oil & krill oil daily, all in high doses. It has many benefits, including all the benefits of a powerful anti-oxidant (cardiovascular, cancer, etc), it protects your retinas and is part of my eye health stack (with lutein & zeaxanthin & saffron). In a mice study it was even shown to grow new brain cells (needs human study to confirm, obviously, but interesting nonetheless). It could help with joint pain. It’s been studied up to 50mg dose and found to cause no issues so I wouldn’t worry about 12mg.

CoQ10 is well known for helping with heart disease, but it is also useful for mitochondrial dysfunction (the main reason I take it), diabetes, fertility, skin health, and more. It’s generally well tolerated at least up to 600mg/day and there have been studies showing even taking 2 grams a day was safe, so there is not a lot of overdose concern here either.

If you are primarily interested in the skin/wrinkle benefits, I recommend you also add on some sea buckthorn, hyaluronic acid & collagen supplements, & cook with collagen peptides when you can (I dump it into soups and sauces all the time).

some of the capsules had dents and seemed dried up!
when contact the manufacturer they had nothing to say about the way it was received.
Amazon ws great with the return process.
customer service for Naomi should do more to help their customers!
dont know if it is a good product because i didnt use it and wont be buying this brand again.

    The pills are stuck together.

It’s hard to write about supplements because it’s difficult to tell if they are working as advertised. That said, I have taken astaxanthin for a while, and certainly noticed that it appears to have a positive effect. For example, I don’t sunburn as easily as I did when I forget to apply sunscreen, and when I do get a burn, it goes away quickly and without blistering and peeling like I had before.

I’ll lead with what is likely obvious: the pricing for this supplement is on the high end. At $45 for a 30 day supply, this is not cheap – it’s not even competitive with some other astaxanthin supplements. Although it does also include COQ10, it’s also widely publicized that supplement is often not absorbed well by many people (hence, the rise of ubiquinol). While I like these capsules fine, the price point might be a bridge too far, even when factoring in the COQ10.

Turning to the capsules themselves: they are fine – not hard to swallow, no bad taste. As noted, I _believe_ astaxanthin works for me and it’s an effective supplement. I’m not sold on COQ10, given what I’ve read, but I’m fairly certain it can’t hurt.

Net-net: I think this is probably a decent supplement, but the price point needs to move down fairly dramatically.
