I’m on a mission to bulk up and add mass to my physique and was searching for a mass gainer that wasn’t made from milk/dairy by products because I have dairy allergies. Vegan mass gainers aren’t really a thing (which is weird because if they make vegan protein powder, then surely someone can make a proper vegan mass gainer) but I digress. And then I remembered that MuscleMeds exists and that they use beef protein instead of whey, soy, quinoa, or pea powder. Gave this a try and it’s a lot better tasting than I thought it would be. I imagined it would smell like a beef processing plant but in actuality, it has a very faint beef smell. It mostly has a chocolate/coffee like aroma and taste. Almost like Orgain vegan protein powder. It doesn’t make me nauseous or feel weird. I use it sparingly and only spilt 1 serving into 2 shakes a day. So 4 scoops total for 50g of protein. Anything more than that could cause an upset stomach because it’s also loaded in carbohydrates (which contain sugar, so it’s not a completely sugar free product). I saw someone mention in another review that they mix 6-8 scoops with milk and water and it gave them diarrhea. That’s probably why.
The powder itself is a fine grain, but when you mix it with water it gets sticky and clumpy. A shaker cup alone will not adequately mix this up and neither will using a spoon. The best method to get a smooth shake is by using a blender. I have a little Blendjet that I use and it does the trick.
Lastly, I do believe that this product has helped me put on mass. I look bulkier but not fat, either. With a regular workout schedule, this should help you put on size.

When I opened the box I was surprised at how large the container is! (See pic) When I opened the container I could smell the chocolate/peanut butter! Smells and tastes great. The powder is thick in water, so I had to use the blender to mix throughly. Also I added some ice to make it colder. Very pleased!!

Seriously, this is the cheapest meal supp you can get with this amount of protein that isn’t whey-based.
I always get the chocolate fudge flavor, no reason to mess with what works. It has a funky smell (it’s beef, wdy expect) but taste is great.
I don’t think I can buy creatine separately + a different meal supp and beat this price point. It’s really the go-to.
Mixability:
It mixes with HOT water. I use a 1 liter container and 4 scoops mixes just fine with a spoon and hot water. If it’s clumpy, give it some time and possibly warm it up more. Most of the time the temperature of my Hot tap is plenty to ensure good mixing. After it’s mixed you can chill it if you want, but it’s basically high protein hot chocolate at this point so why wait.
Treat it like flour. Warm will make it a congealed mess, cold works well for cleanup.
Body impact:
I had pretty smelly farts for a couple weeks, now my system seems to love the stuff.
Drink tons of water if you haven’t loaded creatine yet. I was drinking ~half gallon a day and barely urinating compared to my intake. It took about 2 weeks for me to catch up and relieve the tightness in muscles.
Each person’s body comp is different, but you need quite a bit of water to be stored in your muscles along with the creatine (it may sound like cheating gains, but it’s a good thing).
