This protein powder had most everything I was looking for: grass fed whey, bcaa’s, stevia sweetened. Quality ingredients and good price per serving. The large bag does not want to seal well. Will have to investigate why.

The title pretty much says it all here.
I’ve been using Muscle Feast for years, because I believe it to be the best tasting and nutritionally sound protein for me. Other proteins leave a bad flavor in my mouth, and I would need to wash my shaker cup several times to get the lingering smell out– not so with Muscle Feast.
Additionally, I appreciate that they sweeten with Stevia, and don’t seem to add excess sugars.
The problem I’m seeing is a steady increase in price at a rate that will soon force me to look elsewhere, while simultaneously switching from the nice and sturdy plastic jar, to a pinch-to-close-style plastic bag that tends to open on its own as it sits on my counter top.
Now, perhaps I’m just terrible at closing these kinds of bags, but either way, this isn’t an improvement for me. Your experience may vary of course.
I love Muscle Feast, and would hate to be forced to switch, but it’s up to them now.

I’m a regular consumer of the unflavored Muscle Feast Grass-Fed Whey Protein Isolate (WPI), which I enjoy because of its high protein content and almost complete lack of flavor. (I’ve never been a fan of the wet cardboard flavor of whey concentrate.)
I decided, on a whim, to try this one — simply out of boredom.
As compared to the WPI:
– Slightly less protein, gram-for-gram (< 10%)
– Somewhat more flavor — but really good flavor. Very creamy and, dare I say it, delicious?
– Equivalent or better mixability. Both are easy to mix and readily dissolve. This one seems ever so slightly less sticky.
– As of the time of this writing, over 25% less expensive.
So this comes down to simple economics. The WPI, at least on paper, is a bit less than 10% more “potent.” (If that even makes sense for protein powder?) This blend, on the other hand, is 25% less expensive. So if I just consume a bit more, I’m in equal territory, and I’ve saved money. That, plus the nice flavor boost? Value upon value.
Both are excellent products and I highly recommend them if you need a bit of whey in your life. But I think going forward, unless I learn of some magic benefit of isolate vs this blend, I’ll favor this one. Really glad I got bored and decided to give it a try.

This is literally the best protein powder I’ve ever had and is actually quite delicious. All other powders I have are always extremely chalky, frothy, and extremely filling (in a bad way). However this powder blends really well, is super light, and is a joy to taste. I mix it with some almond milk, PB protein, and cinnamon and it makes for a good high protein shake. The packaging is trash and doesn’t close like everyone else has mentioned, but a small price to pay for salvation. Would definitely buy again.

I wanted to try this after watching the dietician Abbey Sharp on YouTube reviewing protein powders and saying that whey protein isolate is like the gold standard in terms of bioavailable protein other than whole food sources of course. She researched and rated different powders in terms of FDA backed consumer info that looked at how pure the product is and free of fillers it is and stuff. This was top rated for whey protein isolate.
I decided to try it for myself and this is by far the best protein powder I’ve ever tried. I emailed the company to see if I could get a free sample to decide what flavor I liked best and they were so kind and sent me chocolate, vanilla, and unflavored. Honestly they were all great but I wanted something versatile I could add to any drink because I was planning to use this for smoothies and to add protein to coffee and tea so when I went to actually buy some I got unflavored. I’ve tried that protein coffee recipe where you add cold brew to a protein shake but I hate the fake, intense sweetness of pretty much every protein shake I’ve tried. It might not help that I had hyperemesis gravidarum when I was pregnant and all that I could manage to get in me was protein shakes (and they didn’t always stay down). Anyways I tried making my own protein coffee by mixing this stuff with some oat milk, a tablespoon of chocolate syrup, and homemade cold brew and you honestly wouldn’t even know it was in there. It adds a slight bit of body and creaminess but that’s about it, it dissolves SO well. Absolutely no grainy or chalky taste whatsoever. I haven’t tried this yet but sometimes I like to make iced matcha lattes and I am planning to try adding this to some. I love this for making more satiating smoothies or if I’m having a hard day with food I’ll make a protein coffee and have a piece of whole wheat toast or an apple with almond butter or something. I’m autistic and have ADHD so sometimes my body just doesn’t tell me I’m hungry, or sometimes absolutely nothing will sound appetizing and this is a great way to get some nutrition during those times. Highly recommend!
Oh yeah- I’ve found that using one of those milk frother things to mix up my drinks is really great for getting everything fully incorporated so def recommend using one if you can.

Okay the product is high quality, tastes good, mixes easily, and is worth the money imo.
But whoever designed the bag it comes in (or chose that bag), must have been having a bad day. This is a boneheaded decision. People that buy protein powder tend to use it daily. Meaning you have to open it and close it every single day.
This bag is irritating to open, and almost impossible to close. I spend a minute fiddling with it to try and get it airtight to close. Couldn’t do it.
I ended up transferring the powder to another container I had, which was an irritating experience.
You should use the zip close bags that Optimum Nutrition uses. This is a solved issue. Whoever is doing the product design here, don’t try and reinvent the wheel. Use the best solutions found on the market.
I’m not even sure I’ll buy again this is such an irritating experience.
