A minor eye infection left me with one very dry eye. This eye was so dry that occasionally it would get stuck to my eye lid during the night. Upon opening my eyes, the tissue of my eye would rip causing a stabbing pain. When it started to happen more frequently, I realized I was developing RECURRENT CORNEAL EROSION, a condition that my son had. Each time it occurred, it would be worse than the previous episode. I had read that sometimes doctors will recommend Muro 128 to treat RCE, so I ordered it. The next time I woke up with stabbing pain, I administered the Muro Drops, and continued to do so day and night for 4 days. It happened again a couple months later, and I repeated the treatment. It hasn’t happened again in over a year.
As an added benefit, I rubbed the solution over a Chalazion that had developed on my eyelid, and it began to clear it up over night.
I will add that you can buy generic bands with the same exact ingredients for less. Some brands, however, are not eligible to purchase with an HSA card. Muro 128 is basically a glorified salt/saline solution, but saline solution is used in hospital settings to clean out wounds. So it safe, it’s somewhat of a disinfectant, and it works. The only downside is it’s a little over priced for what it actually is.

I have been ordering these drop for a few years Alway good but becareful you put the cap on tight as I have had a bottle stop clog up and couldn’t completely empty the contents . It is a saline solution so I am guessing I didn’t put the cap on tight enough as it stopped allowing drops to come out I had to toss the rest out as I didn’t want to compromise the sterilization tip by wiping it. I never had that happen before so I am hoping it was possible I didn’t tighten the cap tight enough and the saly dried on the tip. If it happens with this new bottle I may look elsewhere for it as the cost keeps going up and I can’t afford to waste any of it . So just take care to be sure the cap is tightened down after use. I lost about half of that other bottle. One star off as there is no warning about making sure that cap is really tightened. I never had this issue in the past and am hoping it was my fault and not just a defective bottle. Otherwise over a few years I never had that happen and the product solution has done.what it is supposed to do.
