I was happy to find these Mucinex cough suppressant gummies. What a great idea! They have all the active ingredients of a traditional liquid cough suppressant, just in a different (and somewhat easier) way to take them. Plus it’s so much easier to transport a jar of these when travelling than it is a bottle of liquid. The gummies still taste somewhat medicinal though, which is actually a good thing (don’t want your kids sneaking them as snacks!). The jar is a bit small though, and probably will only last through one bout of a cold/cough.

I have a cough and am an adult. Though these are touted as a children’s formula they do have adult dosing. The dosing is one for anyone under 12. And two gummies for anyone 12 and up (what I took). They are a typical gummy in terms of texture, however the flavor I would say is more in line with dextromethorphan (the active ingredient). You would not mistake these for candy. This is a good thing, since you do not want these to be casually eaten as a tasty snack. So this jar is 16 children’s doses, and 8 adult doses for $13 dollars. This is not too much more per dose than a normal 4 ounce bottle of cough syrup. The advantages of these are for those that do not want a liquid cough syrup maybe. But these are also very portable, especially if you have a pill container to store a couple in. So that is ultimately why I like these, that I can have a little cough medicine on the go if I need it without having to lug around a whole bottle. They do not taste good, but the flavor is not so “mediceny” that’s its a turn off. And if you have kids less of a chance of these enjoying them as a snack if they find them. So 5 stars for convenience, being an interesting new way to take cough medicine that may appeal to those that are adverse to liquids, and I liked them overall.

It is always easier to get my kids onboard with chewable medicines. That was definitely the case with these from mucinex and I will be looking for these and the night time versions in the future as my go-to for the kids. Compared to liquid cough syrup, I have much more piece of mind knowing that dosing is much more precise rather than eyeing a line on a liquid cup.

Another great product from a great reputable company. Mucinex has been around for a long time. As an adult, I usually get them for myself. When they made it for kids, I knew I had to get some. The chews makes it easier for my kiddo to take. My kids like the gummy texture over liquid form.

Getting my kids to take medicine is so hard. My kids just can not handle liquid meds so I’m always looking for alternatives and they gummy snacks so this is something I can get them to take when they need it. It also has a child proof cap which I appreciate as this looking like gummy snacks I want to make sure my kids can’t get into it. You don’t get many doses in here but you can probably make it through a cold with a bottle.

These kids gummies are an easier way to get them to take medicine. They are easy to eat. There is a distinct bitter taste at the end, but it’s not terribly off-putting. It definitely tastes like you are eating medicine.

These Mucinex gummies arrive with an inner seal intact. They have a childproof cap which is so important. The gummies taste fresh and delicious. My little boy had a cough, and his doctor approved these. My little boy could chew and swallow them easily, and he told me that he thinks they taste so good. They expire 04/2026. I have trusted Mucinex for years with my own medication, so I am so happy they manufacture a child’s medication in a gummy.
