Glad to find vitamin D on amazon. I like knowing that it is vegan and does not upset my stomach. First time to try it. The next exam will let me know if I am still lacking Vitamin D. (Much later I wrote the following.)
Normally I analyze ingredients very carefully. It has been several months taking the Calcium with Vitamin D. However, I noticed that it has “filler” material of maltodextrin (a sugar) unmodified starch (another sugar) and sucrose (a pretend sugar chemically made). Sugars of all sorts have been eliminated from my diet. Even tiny amounts are suspect to me. Why is sugar added to a pill that I simply swallow. I don’t care what it tastes like. I just want to have healthy bones! Eliminate the “fillers” and I might use it…. but this is the last bottle.

I developed difficult breathing, muscle soreness and headache. Possibly allergic reaction. I took the recommend dose and thought maybe I’m overdosing. So I cut it in half. Same result. I stopped taking it and feel so much better.

Almost the BEST MOST COST-EFFECTIVE VEGAN Calcium Formula I could find…Only DISLIKE SUCROSE additive is the reason I am still keeping my eyes open for another one.

Like!
I have used this product and referred to friends a few years now. Hopefully the quality is better each time so I can keep buying it.

Excellent product. I have been researching supplements and read about the importance of Vitamin D3, K2 (M-7), and Magnesium for the absorption of calcium and bone health, especially for women. This supplement has all three of these, in addition to the calcium (1000mg/serving) and a good dose of C and Zinc. As I am taking other supplements, mainly to raise my very low levels of Vitamin D3, I only take two of these capsules, instead of the recommended dose of four. I like the MRM brand because the calcium is vegan, from algae, not from limestone or ground Bovine bones, like in some other supplements! You really do have to research where your supplement ingredients come from! Some sources have shocked me. MRM also sources their Vitamin D3 from mushrooms, so this too is vegan (found the source on their website). So I would highly recommend this product.

As a vegan, I am constantly finding more ways to nudge consumption of animal products out of my life. Switching to vegan vitamins has been my latest project. I like the fact that this has a combination of bone building vitamins and minerals. Some people my be put off by the fact that you have to take 4 of these capsules, but I can discontinue taking magnesium and Vitamin D because these capsules contain 100% of RDA. Also, I only take 3 instead of the recommended 4 because I trust my diet to supply the rest of the nutrients. Depending on the results of my next blood test, I may cut back to 2 in the future. The only drawback is that most of the Vitamin K is supplied as K1, instead of the preferable K2.

I bought this with the intent to see if it would help with my sensitive teeth problems. I’ve read about how Vitamin D and K2 can help with teeth issues and I can honestly say that I definitely noticed a difference with this supplement. I should note that I started taking Deva DHA and vitamin B12 at the exact same time as this supplement so who knows if those are potential confounding factors. I don’t believe they are though. The only criticism that I can think of is that I wish the manufactures of this product provided me with more information. I emailed them some questions and although they responded to every inquiry I had I feel like they could have given me more in depth answers. The calcium and the D3 in this product are sourced from different companies and I feel like they could have done a better job at answering my questions too (and no I don’t think my standards are unreasonably high). I’m referring to VitaShine and Bone Optima
I feel like these days you can never truly know what is in a supplement unless you have solid proof.
However, I am still pleased given my positive results, But I am displeased b/c I still feel like I don’t truly know what is in this product and how the nutrient in it were processed/extracted… If anyone wants to help me out feel free to leave a comment.
