I (and my sister) took these for about a week, and we both had to stop taking them. Neither of us have ever taken a cysteine supplement before, but I liked the sound of the potential benefits, so I thought it’d be a nice thing to try. Unfortunately this was not the case for us!
I started to develop periodic nausea in the general time vicinity of taking the product, which progressed to a bad, off taste in my mouth that wouldn’t go away. I threw out some milk thinking it was bad, but then the off-flavor persisted and I still felt sick to my stomach. I stopped taking these, and it took a couple days for those symptoms to wear off, but they haven’t come back and that was the only thing I changed. My sister experienced a similar response.
I’m not sure if it was a reaction to cysteine, the dosage (which might be too high for me, as a small person), or maybe the stearates—I usually avoid pills with stearates in them, so I can’t rule that out for certain. But I’m posting my experience in case someone else has a similar reaction, to maybe help narrow down the possible cause. I haven’t looked into recommended dosages for this product, so if you’re in the market, you probably know more about that than I do. Hopefully this negative reaction doesn’t happen to anyone else!

I love that this product is organic and is manufactured and distributed in the United States. It is well packaged in a glass bottle and for travel, I suggest to take a few in a travel pill box. I love how there are 120 capsules so at one capsule a day, it will last for 4 months which makes this a great price per month. A lot of NAC capsules are less mg, and I like that these are 900mg because my physician told me to take between 900 and 1200mg a day (recommended for me personally). I won’t hesitate to order these again in the future!

We have two main residents, and whenever I go to NYC, I get sick very badly. This time I took these pills, and from 5 weeks that I was there, I was sick 4 weeks. Coughing, fever, runny nose, and ended up with cold sore or shingles that I had to take Valtrex for it. So did these pills increase my immune system response? Apparently now, but stopping these and taking daily Vitamin C and Zinc pills worked at the end. Maybe you should take these NAC pills longer and more than a month to see any difference, so I leave that to you to decide. Lastly, it comes with a glass container. I know it’s more luxurious, but it’s harder for travel. Thanks for reading, and YMMV.

This is a great price for a four-month supply. One capsule is the dosage, which is great for me because I take a lot of vitamins every day. NAC helps my body make glutathione and I need all the help I can get. So far I am happy with this. I take with a meal.

I got this NAC supplement for many reasons. First of all, it is a powerful antioxidant. Second of all, it is a powerful immunity booster. And thirdly(which most people are unaware of), it is said to help people with sleep apnea. It helps one’s respiratory system. I saw that this brand had a high dosage compared to others(one I’m using now only has 300mg). This brand has 900mg. And the recommended dosage is from 500mg-1,800mg. So, it is well worth it’s price. It came in a huge box(shown in pic), but I discovered that the bottle is huge too. It is darkened glass, and contains 120 capsules(enough for 3 months) since one capsule per day is recommended. Making it again, well worth it’s price. The capsules are quite big too, so make sure to drink an adequate amount of liquid to get it down. I haven’t started taking them yet, but I am sure I will feel a difference in my health. The bottle also comes sealed(under cap). The capsules don’t have an unusual odor to them either. I am very happy with these, as it looks like a quality product.

There are SO MANY benefits to taking NAC (look it up online). Not saying ‘everyone’ should take it but it seems like this supplement can treat multiple conditions. I decided to try it to improve respiratory / lung health after being advised by a friend who took these following a covid infection. I can’t tell if they’re doing anything because I take many different supplements, but what I can tell you is that I had no trouble swallowing them & I’ve had no adverse reactions yet. This seems like a very good deal for a high quality supplement.

I was having a hard time finding NAC for a while, happy to have found this product. It’s nice that the capsules are vegan and they claim it is organic, however, it does not appear to be USDA Certified Organic.
