My mom told me to buy this at Costco when they do the Vitamix display, but I wanted to try it sooner. Enter Amazon…and me slightly overpaying, and here we are.
This powder has a mild flavor that isn’t at all offensive. I make a smoothie with whole milk (lactose free), greek yogurt, frozen berries, spinach, flax seeds, this powder, and a little honey. While you can taste the powder in there, it’s not overpowering like other powders. I digest this powder easily. And most importantly, I’m seeing the gains I expect in the gym.
For lactose sensitive people like me, this powder is the best thing I’ve found for making protein smoothies.

Best GF protein mix out there. Tried many and this has best taste and no weird after-taste or chalkiness. The BlendItUp is clean whey-free protein with amino acids to help build lean muscle. My son is a competitive athlete and suffers from metabolic disorder which means he has to be on a low carb and low sugar diet. Many other protein mixes that are whey based and tend to create an insulin spike and cause gain weight. No issues with the BlendItUp – he actually has used this as part of his low carb diet and exercise plan for a year to get his insulin under control and lose weight. He feels great and never gets a crash from this mix. It has fiber that helps sustains him throughout the morning and is also effective as a post workout recovery drink. Benefit is that it has stevia and no sucralose (Splenda) so it’s healthier that any others I’ve researched. It’s much better than the GNC whey protein mixes which warn they can create an insulin response.TRY BlendItUp with sugar free Almond milk (8 oz),1 banana, half an apple and 2-3 ice cubes in the blender. It’s a winner!

I got this to put on oatmeal to up my protein intake, as I didn’t want something too flavorful. While this is advertised as having a neutral flavor, it actually tastes slightly sweet and vanilla-y. The powder itself looks and smells a lot like cake mix (yum!). However, it’s mild enough that it doesn’t overpower the oatmeal or make it too dessert-like.
However, a few days ago I ran out of my usual Vega Sport vanilla powder so I thought I would make a shake with this instead, and I could barely get it down! That slight sweet vanilla taste is MUCH less so when consumed on its own (in almond milk) than in oatmeal! I also found that the powder didn’t dissolve completely and I had to keep shaking it up as I drank it.
For the purpose I bought this for, it’s pretty perfect (though it would be nice if it were truly neutral so I could add it to completely savory foods, like in soup) but I wouldn’t recommend it as a shake mix unless you’re adding a lot of other flavor and don’t mind the powder not being totally dissolved.

I spent a long time buying and trying protein powders to blend in my fruit smoothies in the morning. I usually use a fruit juice base for my morning smoothies rather than a dairy-like base that I use for my post workout protein shakes. It’s hard to find a protein powder that doesn’t ruin a fruit smoothie with fruit juice base with a dairy flavor. This protein powder not only doesn’t change the flavor of my fruit smoothies but it actually makes it taste better! I notice a difference when I don’t use the protein powder as far as taste goes. Highly recommend!

I rely on this protein powder for my morning pick me up. Although I follow a predominantly Paleo diet, I do make certain exceptions including the blends and legumes and proteins in this protein blend. I have found through experience that I feel great when combining this powder powder with frozen fruits, fresh vegetables and almond milk in my Vitamix. My typical combination is something like this: 1 banana, a handful of frozen strawberries, a handful of frozen mango chunks, a handful of fresh spinach, 3 to 4 one inch segments of a raw carrot, 3 scoops of protein powder, 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk and extra water as needed. This will yield two smoothies. I don’t add extra ice, since half the ingredients are frozen. Yum!
The protein is relatively smooth and has just a hint of sweetness. It blends easily. It’s particularly important to me that the ingredients are organic. I will sometimes mix with other high-quality protein powders for variety or to get a range of flavors.

I have been buying this product from the Vitamix rep at local Costco for years! I have moved so I don’t have a local Costco close enough to get by when the Vitamix rep comes in so I was happy to find this product here on Amazon Prime! This is such a great product! It’s not too “chalky” like a lot of protein powders and I like that it doesn’t really have a flavor to it! It is full of great PLANT BASED ingredients! As a long time vegetarian recently gone vegan I am very happy to use this protein powder in my daily green breakfast smoothie! It blends up nicely with my fruits and veggies in my Vitamix blender and is a great source of whole food ORGANIC protein! I highly recommend this protein powder!

Makes great fruit smoothies without the weird texture and flavor that many protein powders have. Your smoothie will taste like the fruits you put into it rather than like protein powder.
