I broke my fibula and have been in a walking boot and crutches for 6 weeks. At my 6 week appt. my doctor said he didn’t see any signs of my body healing naturally and we would have to possibly consider surgery. Out of desperation I decided to try this powder to give my body a jump start. I have been drinking it religiously the past two weeks and at my last doctor appointment a few days ago he said I would be a regular shoe in a week. I don’t know what is in this stuff, but it worked like magic! My only complaint is that it taste absolutely awful. I have mixed it all different types of juice and it’s almost unbearable. I am continuing to try to take it but it makes me nauseous for hours after drinking it. Reminds me a bit of that scene in Harry Potter when he had to drink the Skele Gro potion. Gross.

Just received mend post injury, and I do take glutamine leucine bioprene and hmb for recovery although not daily (it’s a lot of pills to choke down) this powder is easier but the taste is bad. Ruins a good smoothie. If you enjoy the taste of natural calm or colon prep this is for you

Got this based on an orthos recommendation for recovery after surgery. It is only day 2 so IDK how well it works yet and I will change the rating if I heal great but the taste is awful. I am thinking about mixing in some orange jello powder because I am having a hard time getting this down.

2/19/24 My husband fell and broke his shoulder during a snow and ice storm last month.. We couldn’t get to the hospital because of the weather. He was in so much pain. I was checking on Amazon for some type of healing products. I finally saw the container of MEND and Repair Quicker. Then after reading all the information about what was in this product such as all the excellent vitamins, nutrients and other supplements, I next read the reviews. Most were negative about the taste. I knew how much pain my husband was in so I ordered a jar of this Mend & Repair powder. I followed the directions and I added a few of my ideas. I used 8oz of Tropicana Orange Juice without pulp. I used a measuring cup/I poured 4 Oz of OJ & 1 scoop of the Healing-protein powder. I mixed it with a spoon until the mixture didn’t have any undissolved powder.. Next, I poured the other 4 oz of Orange juice in the measuring cup and stirred it up.. I added an ice cube and stirred the mixture up for about 30 more seconds. I then took a small glass that would hold the full 8oz drink and held a small flat sifter over the glass and poured the liquid mix from the measuring cup into the glass. There wasn’t any undissolved powder and my husband drank it without any issues. .He actually liked it. After drinking it for a week, he went back to his surgeon and the surgeon said his X-Rays looked good.. We definitely would recommend this product. Thank you Amazon, for having such great products available for your customers. Note: The scoop comes with the protein powder.

Definitely 1 out of 10 stars if I could. The taste is horrible and chalky. No matter how much or little water you try to mix this with, it’s still foul tasting. It doesn’t blend well, mix well, or do anything well. Not worth the money and now stuck with this after only three uses.

I broke my fibula and ruptured one of my deltoid ligaments. I had an ORIF done on the bone and the rupture was repaired surgically. I wish I had done as the instructions say and started taking this stuff BEFORE surgery but I started taking this after surgery and believe that its really has contributed greatly to my quick recovery. It is a very good product from a nutritive perspective.
That being said, it doesn’t taste amazing. It’s not the worst thing I’ve ever tasted but you don’t sit down and relax with this stuff. It does take some effort to get it down the hatch. It has the same sort of flavor as an amino type drink if you’re familiar with that. It’s flavor is orange-like and the “bad” flavor can mostly be mitigated by using at least 12ozs of water. Also, it doesn’t fully dissolve and it leaves grit and sediment in the bottom of whatever you’re mixing it in. If you use this product, it’s best to use a shaker/blender bottle and mix it it up periodically when you drink it. It will help. If you have a strong gag reflex and the grit/sediment hits the back of your throat it might make you gag. Most of the nutritive properties are dissolved in the liquid so it’s not really necessary to drink the grit but I do. Just FYI, I have also been taking cissus quadrangularis and have been using an Exogen bone stimulator.
Because this stuff is very good at providing the nutrition you need to recover I give it 4 stars. The flavor could be better but as far as “medicine” goes it could be much worse. If MEND is used in conjunction with physical therapy and other supplements you will have the nutrition you need to recover. I don’t look forward to drinking this stuff but when it comes to recovery, if you’re serious about getting better, this stuff will help you.

Just got this product, because of the great reviews it has regarding the healing aspects. I was concerned because some say the taste is horrible, but thought I give it a try. I just fractured my ankle so I was looking for supplements that could speed up my recovery. I’m pleasantly surprised, the flavor is really not that bad. It’s citrus and If you are used to any other type of vitamin supplements, liquid vitamin C, any type of amino drink or electrolyte drink, this is kind of very similar from the flavor but also texture wise. It is a little grittier, so I can see why some might say they have troubles getting it down, but it’s really not as bad. Not sticky at all. I would recommend to dissolve it in cold orange juice, or any other fruit juice similar in flavor. Stir with a spoon, and just a small half glass full. I like it, still testing out if it actually aids towards recovery. So will update my review. But so far I’m satisfied.
