I rarely write reviews on supplements as subjectivity always mirrors individual responses. However, ‘Best Naturals’ Acetyl L Carnitine has made such a difference to my cognitive sharpness. I am 59 years and in great health. I choose ALC as opposed to L Carnitine as it is more bioavailable to the body and I wanted a supplement to maximise my heart and brain health. I had found at times, that I was not as fast in recalling names and I decided therefore that I required more energy, brain wise. After 6 weeks of supplementation and a objective bioressance analysis, I can truly say this supplement has worked magic for me.

I’ve read about L-Carnitine but didn’t think I needed it. But since taking it I think I have a better sense of well-being that has replaced my previous attitude that required a lot of trying and effort to just get things done sometimes. Enthusiasm was never in short supply, just not as a regular and consistent feeling. I’m always cautious when trying a new vitamin, and consider the recommended dosage as a maximum amount and so take less. This is something you need to pay attention to and try to be honest in the appraisal, so now it has joined the group of usual vitamins that I take on a “regular” basis. (When you feel a little down, there’s that mind/body connection telling you.) That’s about the best I can do. I realize that everybody’s different and they may or may not experience the same results, but from the product’s description as to what it’s supposed to do, it appears to be working. This vitamin is in the 1,000 mg dosage, but I also have the 500mg just to see if I can tell the difference. Some vitamins (I had an Uncle who was a Pharmacist and a big advocate of supplements) are too much for your immediate requirements so they’re just flushed away, but some vitamins can be over-done and become toxic when you might think that “More is Better” but your body only needs just so much and no more.
