I really love this medicated lip balm/stain. I got the coral cove which I wasn’t sure I’d like cause I always wear lighter pink shades. This actually does stain a light pink on me. I had really chapped lips when I got it so put it on every couple hours and in only one day my lips are healed, moisturized, and a nice light pink! This isn’t glossy but it does have a very nice light shimmer. It just looks natural. All the lipsticks that I like are over $30 so to be able to spend under $5 is awesome! I have worn my lipstick over the lip balm a couple times and it keeps my lips hydrated and soft. I apply it about 15-20 minutes after the lip balm. I’m definitely ordering more to have them with me at all times and doubt I’d ever stop using them so hopefully it won’t ever be discontinued.

I’m taking a new medication (Adderall) and it dries up your lips so much that I bled only after 3 days. I tried several chapsticks and lipbalms that claim to be medicated or extra strength and they didnt work even right after application. I’m allergic to coconut so half of medicated lipbalms were out of the question but BLESS HERE COMES MAYBELLINE. It smells nice, feels smooth, made my lips normal (and soft) again. The color is very light and almost clear, I put it on the back of my hand to double check. Overall this balm is amazing and I will always keep this product in my house!!

The color isn’t bad and when first applied it feels smooth and hydrating, but if your lips are already dry and a tinge crusty, the color will collect in the crevices and make your lips more dry sometimes. Also I put this on in the morning and it wore off within a few hours but the tingling stayed in my lips all day whenever I pressed them together or touched them with my fingers. Not the most pleasant as it sort of feels likes I ate a hot pepper and it’s in the final stages of wearing away (except it’s that feeling all day). Also I thought this would be more hydrating than medicated, but when received the application instructions said it was best for cold sores and lip wound care, so maybe I read it wrong when purchasing but it’s not the most hydrating thing in the world–in fact it’s more drying than I would like it to be. Probably won’t purchase again to be honest.

The color is really cute and you can definitely feel the medication part working on the lips once applied but it doesn’t stay on the lips that long so you’re constantly applying it which I cannot stand that I wish that it was a lot more moisturizing and a little bit more on the ability to stay on the lips a lot longer so that wasn’t having to be applied every 5 seconds

I love love love this lip balm so much that it’s definitely a staple for me. I am just so sad to hear that they are discontinuing selling it in stores. So I was so happy to find that amazon has them for sell. I am also happy that there is a subscription for this lip balm as well, so now I’ll never will run out. I wish they had the clear medicated one for sale, but that’s out of stock. But I do love this color it gives a light tint of baby pink to your lips, so it make your lips look pretty. The most important thing that makes this lip balm a staple for me is the medicated part! For the longest time I was trying everything to soothes my dry lips and heal my cold sore that was about to form. This lip balm works like magic for me and healed my cold sore before it started to form. The medicated part of the lip balm has this sensation where it’s very cooling like the tea tree shampoos sensation. So I would say this lip balm works wonders for me. After it did that I was sold forever and couldn’t go back to any other lip balm. I used this every night and every morning after washing and brushing my teeth. I’m very very please and will always be a fan of this medicated lip balm. I will be subscribed till I can’t be subscribed no more! 🙂
