I recently ran across this matcha drink blend that has a collagen support as a bonus and just had to try it. As someone who is always looking for ways to improve my skin health as well as values natural and plant-based products, I thought this would be a good addition to my daily routine.
Apparently this drink blend is vegan, non-GMO, and sugar-free, which is a big plus for health-conscious individuals like myself. I like their focus on collagen support because it is important to address collagen loss from various angles, and this blend claims to fight collagen degradation while simultaneously supporting the body’s natural collagen production. The mix is also supposed to be third party lab tested, most likely for content and purity. A COA is not given as documented proof however.
I tried mixing the powder with cold milk, but even with a frother, it came out too lumpy. I had to use a blender to fully mix up the powder, which is rather inconvenient for everyday use. The mix is probably better suited for smoothies since it has no sweeteners. I can taste the matcha with a hint of vanilla. It has a minimal amount of caffeine, so I didn’t feel any energy boost.
Individually packaged drink mixes like this are good for on-the-go individuals, but this mix is difficult to dissolve, so a blender must be used which limits its convenience. I like what the ingredients have to offer, and believe it does make a slight difference in skin and nail health in the long term. It adds a minimal amount of calories to any drink and can be used daily without ruining a diet. It is worth a try to see if it will help you improve your skin health.

I’m an herbalist and the unique combination of beauty promoting ingredients is what attracted me to this matcha (matcha itself is already very beauty-supportive as well)! I’ve tried MANY matchas over the past 20 years and so many of them are garbage – this one is not! I can tell it’s a very high quality matcha with zero jitters or crash. I also love that it’s sourced from Japan.
The other ingredients are very impressive, these are a few of my favorites:
– Tremella mushroom is known as the beauty mushroom and supports collagen levels naturally. It also helps the body hold water – which is great for plumping.
– Bamboo is a great source of silica, supporting skin elasticity in addition to hair and nails
– Amla is an excellent natural source of whole vitamin c (the whole complex with bioflavinoids). However, it usually has a pretty strong and somewhat disgusting taste – the flavor of which is entirely unnoticable in this product. So I’m wondering if they just don’t use much of this or what?
Overall this product tastes incredibly pleasant, with a mild natural sweetness from the monkfruit (zero sugar). Most monkfruit sweeteners contain erythiol, which is not natural and can increase the risk of stroke. This product does not contain any of that junk – the company clearly understands health and knows how to create a wonderful product!
My only qualm really is the price. It’s current price of $3/packet is a bit much for me, but it would be nice to have with on the go and is still a cheaper alternative than going to grab starbucks or something! You’d also get a lot more health benefits from this than the coffee shop too. So if you’re swapping tit for tat, then it’s a great value. It just depends how you look at it.
I just found out that the company has a website where they offer small bags of the product as well, so if you don’t need on-the-go sticks then that would be a more affordable alternative. I may try purchasing a bag directly from them as the product is really good. I also learned that the product is 3rd party tested for quality -which is so important to me. They seem like a great brand all around.
One last thing to note is that each packet only contains 14mg of caffeine, which is about the same as a cup of decaf coffee. Personally, I like this as I quit coffee many years ago and enjoy life much more now without it. But for some of you this might not be strong enough caffeine to feel much. It does give me a mild, comfortable promotion of energy.
