You know those hand warmer packets you buy at the store that last for like an hour? That is essentially what this is. It feels warm against your skin, but if provides no other benefits. There is no steam because it’s a dry product. I guess if you’re just looking for a warm eye compress, this will do the trick.

As someone who works at a computer all day, I didn’t even realize all the tension I was carrying in and around my eyes. Ten minutes with one of these and I felt better than I had in weeks.
I bought a bunch of these and gave them out around the office. I’ll let them write their own reviews if they’d like, but I will respond to a few things that seemed a bit confusing to them at first.
First, these masks are dry. There is no lotion, water, or other skin product in them.
Second, these masks are one-time use. It’s a slow source of heat that will eventually fade. For me it’s roughly five minutes of waiting for things to happen followed by fifteen minutes of warmth and bliss.
Third, these will cover your eyes. What can you do when your eyes are covered? So far my favorite uses are while taking a relaxing bath or a few minutes before bed. I imagine they’d also be great for a quick break at work when you feel a headache coming on or while traveling.
Seriously, give them a shot.

I was specifically looking for self-heating eye mask made in Korea. Country of origin listing on all products should be a basic requirement. These eye masks are made in China but are priced as Korean product.
I decided to try them anyway for dry eye relief before bedtime. The heat itself is nice and gentle. But one of the ingredients caused skin irritation and burning sensation so I removed after less than ten minutes. It’s almost like a mint or pine oil sensation, so the mystery ingredient may be the “super absorbent resin.” I will not use these on my eyes again and I would caution anyone w sensitive skin to avoid!! This actually made my dry eyes feel more dry.

Before the pandemic, I used to stock up on these heating eye masks whenever I’d go to Japan because they’re so much cheaper over there compared to the exorbitant prices they are sold here on Amazon and at my local Asian grocery stores. I was intrigued by these because they’re made in Korea and the price was more reasonable than others. They work exactly the same as my favorite Japanese ones and the heat lasts for at least 40+ minutes which is great. My eyes get dry and irritated easily due to my allergies so I use these to soothe at night before bed. They’re great for if you’ve been on your laptop or in front of the TV/monitor all day too. I used to pack with me to help me relax and sleep on long flights. I will be purchasing again when I run out.
